Balboa Park Reflecting Pool by Randy Riccoboni. The burgundy and brown hues of the Botanical Building set against the green water lilies and lotus flowers in the large shimmering koi pond in San Diego. Painted in the Impressionist style. More about this artist Riccoboni’s Impressionist art and Realism art includes California Art, San Diego Art, Los Angeles Art, San Francisco Art, New York Art, Manhattan Art, New York City Art, Connecticut Art, New England Art. Color is the first thing you notice about my work. What makes it ‘pop’ is the placement of color and texture. The primary colors in my palette are derived from the colors in the original rainbow flag which represent sexuality, healing, sun, nature, art, harmony and spirit. As a painter I am a visual storyteller. A message comes with the art – perhaps it is playful, calming, erotic, disturbing, political, or even sacred. I like to flirt with the issues and experiences we face in everyday life, the things we do and the places we go that define our lives. Whether positive, humorous, or thought provoking, my work portrays events people relate to while creating a sense of place for the viewer. RD. Riccoboni RD. (Randy) Riccoboni is an innovative American-born painter (California, 1960), influenced by his early years living in the suburbs of New York City. A self-taught artist, his paintings depict his travels and local interest such as California landscape, cityscape, portraiture, street-scenes, public events, and everyday happenings and friends. His palette is derived from the bold colors of the original rainbow flag. Colors that represent, sexuality, healing, sunshine, nature, art, harmony, and spirit. Riccoboni’s internationally recognized work represents community, a sense of place in a positive and life affirming manner. -Striving for Excellence is WAY more fun than striving for mediocrity! / RD Riccoboni See the art of RD Riccoboni at Beacon Artworks Gallery located in Old Town State Historic Park in San Diego California.
This happy-go-lucky Pelican landed on crystal blue waters about 5 feet from where I was floating on a rubber raft, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We don’t always need the most expensive cameras to capture the coolest sights…this one was taken with a waterproof disposable camera from a local drug store!
Campanile San Marco and Doge’s Palace, Venice St Mark’s Campanile, the bell tower of St Mark’s Basilica in Venice, is located in a corner of St Mark’s square and is a recognizable symbol of the city. The tower is 98.6 meters tall, and is capped by a pyramidal spire, at the top of which sits a golden weathervane in the form of the archangel Gabriel. The campanile reached its present form in 1514. As it stands today, however, the tower is a reconstruction, completed in 1912 after the collapse of 1902. The Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale di Venezia) was the residence of the Doge of Venice. The current palace was largely constructed between 1309 to 1424, designed perhaps by Filippo Calendario. It replaced earlier fortified buildings of which relatively little is known. The palace was badly damaged by fire in 1574. In the subsequent rebuilding work it was decided to respect the original gothic style. Number of views to date = 103 Date: 27th August 2007.

Tellaro is a sea village of old origin built on the rocks with strong fortifications which role was to control potential invaders coming from the sea. My last trip to San Francisco opened a whole new world of photo opportunities. But I really need to study a city for a while before I can find the heart. I feel like I’m only just getting there with Seattle and now I need to do more with a city closer to home and also just as interesting. So my overnight led me up the hill, it’s hard not to find yourself on a hill in San Francisco. But even though I had been there before, I didn’t realize how close I was to Coit Tower / But it wasn’t long before I found a sign that said Stairs to Coit Tower So I kept on going. / Along the way I saw a line of homes that must be in the multi million dollar range. I could only glimpse the seating through the trees and this was the best shot. But WOW!! This has to be a view to die for in San Francisco. I wonder if they would invite me in if I give them a signed copy of the print!! Now wouldn’t that be fun!! / /
