A favorite image of mine for the message that it contained for me. A small island nearly swept over by the incoming tides as a small crack in the gathering storm allowed for a colorful sunset on this PAcific Ocean beach. An image with a message in it for me, for while the world can be swirling around you, your faith can be that refuge, that rock to grab onto as the world flies by you.
Firstly, I’d like to thank my dog, Fred Bassett for interesting design direction inspiration. At least half any potential proceeds will go towards some whiskey flavoured biscuits from him. / . / A little different to my usual style. But even more relevant on a personal level. / . / In these heady days of Google I can’t make this as cryptic as I’d like without telling you anything at all, which is no fun. So I’ll just sit back and let you all search and then question. / . / “If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.” William Blake / . /

The warm light of a Cold November Dawn illuminates the sandstone of Canyonlands National Park and Mesa Arch with the La Sal Mountains hiding in the distance.
This pattern and line filled image isolates a lone girl in red. Taken in September of 2007 at the De Young Museum in San Francisco, the girl is set upon a dizzying array of stairs reflected by a glass wall which shows the reflection of an imperfect world. / She descends as if on her way to the bottom of an unseen future.

corner of mission and 2nd street, san francisco, holga madness. / kodak tri-x turns out this is just up the road from the new RB office, but I didn’t know that when I took it. (having only been to the US thrice i still find steam rising from the vents in the street most evocative, the locals probably find it annoying)

! Featured on the RedBubble homepage on Monday, 9th February, 2009 ! / Featured in the group “Italy and all Italian things”. / Thank you so much!!! / Featured on October 10th 2009 – Thank you!!! / We took a trip to Tuscany in October 2006 and stayed for one night in a most beautiful place called San Giminiano. I got up really early in the morning to find the whole landscape beginning to glow in the morning light. Swathes of mist rested in the vales of this beautitul landscape. “Tuscan Dawn” was also taken (a little earlier) on this morning. It was one of those times when dragging yourself out of bed before dawn was well, well worth it! This work is absolutely “as is” work. No manipulation at all, just what we saw! /
I added some drama.. but I do so love the Russian Orthodox Churches in the city.. this one is off Gary Street.

VIEW LARGE PLEASE :=} These statues are called the ‘Weeping Women’ located on the top of the colonnade in the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. The weeping women were created by the sculptor Ulric Ellerhusen. The point of the statues was to express the sadness and melancholy of life without art.
Title from a certain Chris Isaak song… I haven’t been taking a lot of photos whilst enjoying my stay in San Francisco but this little visit to a certain bridge we all know, made the fact that I hadn’t been out not matter to me at all, I absolutely loved this spot and I can’t wait to come back to this great city and explore it a little bit more… Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite photos out of the many thousands I have taken over the past 18 months or so, thanks for looking :D / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm IS. Digital interpretation of my original photograph Gumball, this work is an explosion of colors captured in one of the simplest and most innocent of subjects, gumball machines. Pop art bordering on kitsch, this interpretation is whimsical, amusing, and plain good wholesome art! This piece would look best in a large canvas where the gumball machines become whimsically large, reinforcing the nature of this piece.
