I took this close-up of Jesus on the cross which was in a very old cemetery and then when I saw these words on a church marquee, “Jesus built a bridge with two boards and three nails,” I added them to the photo. Something to really meditate about!
A couple of years ago, I designed this image and sent it to family and friends as a Christmas greeting. The photo is of a stained glass window in a lovely old Catholic church in southern Louisiana.
I took this image a few days ago whilst on the way to the Barossa Valley with a girlfriend and my sister. The large tree is a native Eucalyptus tree. Couldn’t resist taking a photo of the purple even though it is a noxious weed in this state and most others I think. It is known as Paterson’s Curse or Salvation Jane (Echium plantagineum ). Paterson’s curse/Salvation Jane is toxic to pigs and horses, and the hairs may irritate cow’s udders. Sheep are more resistant but over a number of years they develop liver damage, which may cause death after sudden stress on the liver as from pregnancy or intake of lush feed. The flowers are of value to the honey industry. / Information came from: http://www.esc.nsw.gov.au/Weeds/Sheets/herbs/H%20Paterson’s%20curse.htm

And Jesus said “Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)
I pass this scene often on the road to Palmer, a little town in the Adelaide hills.
The choice open to all of us.
“People Get Ready” / People get ready, there’s a train comin’ / You don’t need no baggage, you just get on board / All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin’ / You don’t need no ticket you just thank the lord People get ready, there’s a train to Jordan / Picking up passengers coast to coast / Faith is the key, open the doors and board them / There’s hope for all among those loved the most / There ain’t no room for the hopeless sinner whom would hurt all mankind / Just to save his own / Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner / For there is no hiding place against the kingdoms throne People get ready there’s a train comin’ / You don’t need no baggage, just get on board / All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin’ / You don’t need no ticket, just thank the lord / Lyrics by Curtis Mayfield.
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6: 1-17 18”X24” Prismacolor Colored Pencils on a Bristol Board + 8 Hours.
This is at the peak of a trail called Stations of the Cross (Le Calvaire) in Oka Provincial Park (Quebec, Canada). The hike is 4.5 km in length return, and the highlight is a lookout point on the mountain. The trail was developed in 1742 by the Sulpician priests and is considered a Canadian historic site. Many chapels are erected along the route but I found that these two stood out as I reached the top of the path. Early summer 2008 / Nikon D40 18-55mm lens
Salvation / 24”x24” Acrylic / . Music by SADE
I’m bringing out the BIG GUNS. / This painting is an Acrylic on Canvas 36×48. / I finished painting it in 1994; I call it my testimony painting. It shows the moment of my salvation; that instant when God reached down and snatched Satan off of me and changed my eternal destiny. / Look down to where the dragon is reaching and you will see me hanging backwards off the edge of the cliff. I had reached this point in the drug world where overdosing was becoming a regular event. I lived with a “death wish” and had begun to take it up to the next levels. My God is an Awesome God and he rescued me! / On the scale of my paintings, or any other art forms, this piece remains the single longest work of my career. I worked on it off and on over a 7 year period. *Please look at the detail shot to see where all those years of work are found. / I am making the Original Canvas available for the first time for sale on Redbubble for $35,000 and if anyone is interested please email me at: crumempire@gmail.com and please, serious inquiries only.
Before Jesus returns again to this earth / Biblical prophesies say that there / will be one last horrific conflict / between the forces of good (God) / and the forces of evil (Satan) in this world the conflict will occur in Isreal / on the plains of Har- Magedon / hence the battle of “Armageddon” God’s army WILL triumph over evil / but if YOU want to be on the winning side / you must accept Jesus as your Savior Remember: / Procrastination is not only / the thief of time.. It is also / the thief of souls!! Jesus warned.. He will come / when you least expect it. / NOW is the time to accept Him.. / before it is too late!!

Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Re 7:14 – / And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Heb 10:22 – / Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. / 1Pe 1:19 - / But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Re 12:11 – / And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
While this statue shows Jesus as a young boy, it still reminds me of part of the lyrics from this song written by Mark Lowry. Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water? / Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters? / Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? / This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you. Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man? / Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? / Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? / And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God. / /
Acrylic on framed canvas. 16”x12”. Commission. This is a copy of Dante’s painting which I was given a print of to work from. I do not know the title of Dante’s original piece. This was a great challenge for me and I struggled with it. The anatomy of Christ is not perfect but slowly I’m learning and growing. Detail / / / /
The Cathedral of the Good Shepard, San Sebastian, Spain This neo gothic cathedral stands at the end of a decently busy street and is a darkly beautiful building. The architecture is so intricate and detailed all over the spires and roofline. It’s a photographical dream of a building. It was built in 1880 and completed in 1897. Preservation of churches and cathedrals in Spain is of high importance, so it looks like it was built nothing more than 50 years ago! Simple adjustment of lighting in this one, adding an omni to create a darker mood of needed deliverance and salvation. What Child Is This What Child is This / What Child is this who, laid to rest / On Mary’s lap is sleeping? / Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet, / While shepherds watch are keeping? [CHORUS] / This, this is Christ the King, / Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing; / Haste, haste, to bring Him laud, / The Babe, the Son of Mary. Why lies He in such mean estate, / Where ox and ass are feeding? / Good Christians, fear, for sinners here / The silent Word is pleading. [CHORUS] Nails, spear shall pierce Him through, / The cross be borne for me, for you. / Hail, hail the Word made flesh, / The Babe, the Son of Mary. [CHORUS] So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh, / Come peasant, king to own Him; / The King of kings salvation brings, / Let loving hearts enthrone Him. [CHORUS] Raise, raise a song on high, / The virgin sings her lullaby. / Joy, joy for Christ is born, / The Babe, the Son of Mary / DECEMBER 29, 2009 / DECEMBER 21, 2009 / December 25, 2009 /
