“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.” Rev 19:11 These are the days of grace. The King is giving His creation time to come to their senses, and even now has His nailed-scarred hand extended out to humanity, to all who will come to Him. He offers peace, salvation, and forgiveness. Yet, as any earthly king knows well, there will be those who contest His right to rule over them, and these objectors will have to be absolutely dealt with in order to establish His absolute monarchy. Why not acknowledge His might now? I certainly have, for I don’t want to be one of the countless rebels who are forced to bend the knee and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. I want to be “in good” with the Great King who is soon returning to reign and rule. Is this the Jesus we think about often? I would say, “No”. Yet, consider these words penned by King David, a man who knew his King quite well. “Now therefore, be wise, O kings; / be instructed, you judges of the earth. / Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. / Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, / And you perish in the way, / When His wrath is kindled but a little. / Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” From the Book of Psalms / Psalm 2: 10-12 / †New King James Version For an even longer artist’s description of this piece, and if you have the patience to read my rambling thoughts, please see my other gallery

Once long ago, upon a hill, a place called Calvary, / A king was nailed upon a cross , blood shed for you and me. Draped around a scarlet robe, thorn’s upon his head, / mocked and laughed and spit upon before leading him to death. Upon each side, another man, was hung on cross to die, / by his love, forgiven sin, to meet in paradise. The sun fell into darkness, no light was left on land, / into hand’s of God, gave up the ghost, blood shed for every man. Three days did pass, a stone was rolled, and they that entered in, / could find no man, for he was gone, The king DID LIVE AGAIN !!! All power in heaven given him, for he from death’s been raised / give glory to the king on high for so worthy of all praise. Many years have now, since come and gone, but soon he’ll come again, / for from Heaven, with a shout, our savior will descend. This ruby throated female was hanging in the air over our feeder. She seemed to be waiting for the right moment to begin drinking. Her tongue was already out as she anticiapted her feast….I think….Taken from inside my “bird blind” window. The view thru the Chapel windows of the Main Cell Block of the old historic Fremantle Prison. / Camera – Panasonic Lumix FZ30 A bit of info - / Fremantle Prison is a former Australian prison located in The Terrace, Fremantle, in Western Australia. The site includes the prison, gatehouse, perimeter walls, cottages, tunnels, and prisoner art. It was built by convict labour in the 1850s, and transferred to the colonial government in 1886 for use as a gaol for locally-sentenced prisoners. It closed as a prison in 1991 and reopened as a historic site. It is now a public museum, managed by the Government of Western Australia with daily and nightly tours being operated. Some tours include information about the existence of ghosts within the prison.

FEATURED OCT 2009 THE WOMAN PHOTGRAPHER / Pictured here is a local Great Egret gloriously taking flight. This photo, and all my bird shots are taken right in my “backyard” so to speak- around the immediate surrounds of our home in Hobsons Bay. It had been a day of sorts, with some news arriving that had not been so good. I needed cheering up, and my wonderful husband endured my darkness as we set off for our late afternoon walk with our trusty Taka leading the way around the local waterways.Although I initially felt strange about picking up the camera when so sad, I began to shoot. With each shot I reconnected with our surroundings, with Mick and with Taka, and my sadness began to shift , until this Angel lifted above our heads, and with his glorious whoosh, saved me… from myself. I recall as a young girl, while my Father was still alive, we would share such special moments together pondering. Pondering life, literature, poetry, film, people, nature, feelings, ideas…and birds. Birds he loved for their freedom and grace, and he kept doves because they didn’t have to be “kept”, or caged. They would of course be free to fly, but always knew where home was. We would sit sharing our ideas on our west-facing veranda for sunset, to catch the dusk chorus, which would delight him so much I can still recall clearly how his blue eyes would light up as the birds would “turn it on” for us, as Dad would gently pause our conversation with a distant gaze, and a gentle “hushhh”.
