Taken in Cornwall in the UK this footbridge can be found between Liskeard and Bodmin at the Trago Mills store. The store itself is huge but also boasts riverside walks and lakes, it’s a popular destination as a day out aswell as somewhere to buy that coffee table and matching lamp stand, and of course a Cornish Pastie to munch on in the Picnic areas.

These swans are a very common sight on the Tamar river between Devon and Cornwall U.K. Twenty years ago there were only two breeding pairs, today there are an estimated thirty individuals and the population is steady. They are popular with both locals and tourists alike. I took this from the Cornish side of the river in Saltash where the swans mainly gather on the beach, with the famous Royal Albert Bridge used as a backdrop. /

Taken in Saltash, Cornwall U.K. These pillars balance the railway line across the Royal Albert Bridge that spans the Tamar river across to Devon. / The bridge was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It opened in 1859 and is still in daily use. To the bottom of the right pillar is his life size statue. Standing just over 5’ tall, he was small in stature but a giant of an engineer. This area is known locally as the secret garden. /

Trematon Castle in Cornwall U.K. / A lot of old castles can be found in Cornwall, this one was built after the time of William the Conquerer in 1066. The castle had never seen any seige however it is believed by many that The Black Prince of Wales sought refuge here while being pursued by the English during the conquest of Wales around the 13th century. The Cornish flag can be seen flying over the Keep. /

This is a statue of one of the best engineers the world has ever seen, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. His achievements are legendary including railways, tunnels, ships and bridges. / This statue can be found in Saltash, Cornwall UK and is situated underneath one of his constructions, The Royal Albert Bridge, which links Cornwall to Devon and the rest of the Britain. / I took this as mono but tweaked it in photoshop to give it a more old fashioned feel. I hope you like the result… /
