This building is in the Lakewood Heritage Center here in Lakewood CO. Lived here all my life and never knew this was there! Its such an amazing site to see. All the old historic buildings that we actually moved to this location!!! / Ethel’s Beauty Salon/88¢ Variety Store, an art moderne/art deco style building, has been used as a laundry/cleaners, a five-and-dime store, and finally a beauty parlor/barbershop. Gil and Ethel Gomez operated the barber and beauty shop in the entire building for many years. / Nikon D60 DSLR / Mildy HDR processed and then enhanced in LR! / View large /

Built as a royal hunting lodge in the early eighteenth century, it is located in Stupinigi, a suburb of the town of Nichelino, 10 km southwest of Turin. The elliptical salon, with double height, is enlightened by a system of big windows placed in three orders opening towards the lanes: the hunting theme and the dedication to Diana are developed in the iconographic system.

The cars you see here were on display during the autoshow 2008 in Brussels (Belgium). One was placed on the ground, the other one glued to the wall…which gives it that something extra..

This is one of the images I did for Albuquerque Magazine, which ran a special “Albuquerque After Dark” issue in October 2008. Sarah is the model and make-up artist, also one of the stylists working at Laru Ni Hati salon, where this shot was photographed. Used 2 studio strobes with umbrellas: 1 behind me to the left directed at the model, and another off to the right, bounced off ceiling and wall on left. Regular overhead biz lights were on, as well.

If you know SNL…you’ll understand this reference. Out for brunch one Sunday morning, saw these women all sitting in a row outside a hair salon under old fashioned hair dryers! Turns out they were models doing a large fashion show in town and the salon was so full, they had to put them outside!
