Although it has been widened twice since then, the arches were reused, so it has kept its character. Crane Bridge and Crane Street were named after a house called the Crane.

  • Salisbury Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral located in Salisbury, England. The main body was completed in only 38 years and is considered one of the leading examples of Early English architecture. The cathedral has the tallest church spire in the United Kingdom (123m/404ft). Visitors can take the “Tower Tour” where the interior of the hollow spire, with its ancient wood scaffolding, can be viewed. The cathedral also has the largest cloister and the largest cathedral close in Britain (80 acres). The Cathedral contains the world’s oldest working clock (from AD 1386) and has one of the four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta (all four original copies are in Britain). Although commonly known as Salisbury Cathedral, the official name is the Cathedral of Saint Mary. In 2008, the Cathedral is celebrating the 750th anniversary of its consecration in 1258. • The water feature inside the cathedral in the United Kingdom. This is a HDR image from 3 shots taken 2 stops apart and then worked over. Nikon D90 and a Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 10mm f13 and I used a tripod because the exposure was down in the region of seconds. HDR has been used to try and capture the tones of the interior of the church and give a pretty true representation of it.
