I took this shot of a very hazardous stretch of coastline on the very southern tip of Newfoundland just below a lighthouse. The winds were so high that day and the sea was whipped into such a boiling cauldron, my imagination was taken away. As I stood there and watched I could almost visualize a ghost ship emerging from the fog, the lighthouse that stood just above me was blowing its foghorn which added a sense of eerieness to the already somber scene. The winds lashed at me attempting to pluck me into the sea as a offering of peace for disturbing this epic battle between land and sea. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

This weekend I did something very very silly…. / I took my new camera on a jet ski in a plastic container (i.e not waterproof housing) and got some snaps of Port Phillip Bay. We only nearly fell of the jet ski, hmmm…. repeatedly. I hope it was worth it! Thanks to my Jetski driver and all round relaxing company James

The National Trust-owned Horsey Windpump overlooks Horsey Mere, an internationally renowned site of special scientific interest. The Mere (from the Dutch word meaning “lake”) is an important site not only for wintering wild fowl but also as the home to a colony of natterjack toads. I know not many people find this beach in Noosa Heads National Park, Queensland, Australia. Every time I visit here, there is not one footprint on the beach. This is the same beach as The Immortal Soldier image, shot on the same day. The unused path that leads to this beach is hard to find, and the incline can be up to 80%, and very slippery. Sometimes sliding is the best way down :) I can sit here for hours, it’s so tranquil and unspoilt. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large and best viewed Large!

I couldn’t do anything happy yesterday.. my art felt dark and it scared me. I trashed for hours so much.. which I don’t mind and am not fearful of as for me it is practice. but this is what came as a finished piece after hours.. she is my darkness.. she is my retrograde.. here is a great journal that tammy/moonsprial put out.. I don’t do forums but it is interesting how she points out the feelings I seemed to have felt lately. Betrayal and Anger too.. / ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞ /
