  • Woke up at 4:40 am and drove down to Cape Schanck hoping to get at least one shot and this was the one (or 5 seeing it’s a stitch). Got here around 6:00 am and had the whole place to myself. It was pretty rough but thankfully not too windy. For anyone who plans on going here make sure you know the tide times, and have adequate footwear! Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens, 5 shot stitch in Adobe Photoshop CS4. Used two ND4 grad filters as I don’t have any ones darker than an ND4, hence the reddy colour as well. Better viewed large! Click here for my other seascapes

  • oil on canvas 1999 / 200cms x 75cm / Commission for an Edinburgh businessman. On the island are do’nut shaped trees. These were the creation of my brilliant niece and I had never seen trees like that before. I named the island after her.
