It is Anno Domino 2008 ..May .. the Island of Capri – Italy .. / Means of travel: A cruise over the Med with the Cruiser : / Norwegian Jade during a 14 days tour from Istanbull to end In Barcelona -Spain I have noticed there are so many ‘Aussi and Kiwi ’ friends on this Red Bubble.. along with guys and galls from the US and Canada that it made me add a little advice.. / If you ever like to see a fair deal of Europe in a comfortable way ..may I strongly advice, as a European, to ‘grab a Cruise trip on the Mediterranean ‘ You will see so much of the old ancient world.. / ( My next is May 2.. 14 days from Barcelona via france and Italy..Sardinia Sth Spain Lissabon Vigo ..Le Havre France..Belgium to end in Rotterdam .. my backyard :-) Costs ?? 2 weeks pp around 1300 $$ US / So far this ‘brain cracker ‘ This fishing boat was pulled a shore..I removed the surroundings and added the cross at the stern ..plus the swimming gear for the Puppy . / Tech talk : Camera 40D / Lens Sigma 18-200IS / ISO 160 / Spot metering / F8.0 / Focal length 63 mm / Shutter 1/512 sec. Woke up at 4:40 am and drove down to Cape Schanck hoping to get at least one shot and this was the one (or 5 seeing it’s a stitch). Got here around 6:00 am and had the whole place to myself. It was pretty rough but thankfully not too windy. For anyone who plans on going here make sure you know the tide times, and have adequate footwear! Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens, 5 shot stitch in Adobe Photoshop CS4. Used two ND4 grad filters as I don’t have any ones darker than an ND4, hence the reddy colour as well. oil on canvas 1999 / 200cms x 75cm / Commission for an Edinburgh businessman. The theme was the internet because that was his business so I came up with boats all heading to an island somewhere in the ocean and linking with one another by rope and torches to get to the same place. On the island are do’nut shaped trees. These were the creation of my brilliant niece and I had never seen trees like that before. I named the island after her.
