this image started life as a pencil sketch and evolved from there. The Double-mouthed sailtail generously tows his companion, Blockhead, across the Atlip desert. Blockhead shields Gorff from the watchful eye of the ever hungry Zylap. Their trusty, but aging pumpkin droid, brings up the rear.

I took the boys to Redhead Beach today. We’ve had some beautiful weather of late..but naturally, the easter long weekend is approaching and so are the storm clouds…anyway, that did not deter them from enjoying their time in the sand. Taken from my wonderful book of North East sailing ships on the coast. / And the ship, background and quay, are painted from the fenland port of Wisbech, on the Lincolnshire coast. During an eventful regatta at St Mary’s Loch in the lovely scottish borders a rainbow appears .. a pretty scene but one with vivid memories attached for any afloat that day with gusts touching storm force 8 capsizing most of the fleet… repeatedly..! After ten unplanned ! swims without ever reaching the start line..i cut my losses.. grabbed the camera and headed for the action from the safety of the shore.. This beautiful old Tall Ship had entered the Tall Ships Race in Sydney Harbour the day before (26th January 2008 – Australia Day) Seen here just having passed under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Since I had some spare time today while everyone else in my family is doing a big clean up (done my spring cleaning already) I enjoyed creating this pencil drawing on paper, which I’ve enhanced digitally. A dreamy little decorative work that would enhance a child’s room and take them to other places in their dreams.
