Early morning sunrises in marinas will often yield neat water reflections. The cloud and contrails made a complex sky. I set the camera on the deck for the three exposures used for the HDR image.

  • A sailboat folded out of a 6×10mm piece of paper rowing along the lifeline in my palm. Wow I didn’t realize my hand had all these lines :P. I didn’t turn this into a black and white this time because I managed to get a cool light on my hand to make it more waterlike. The flow of life is parrallel to a journey off the land. It begins smooth, then the waves of adulthood brings high tides which we must overcome, However at the end of the ride, everything is smooth again. Ironically the lifeline in my palm depicts this flow; it begins smooth, then there is a big split and begin to ruffle, but towards the end it comes back together again. • 'Mile Marker 54'
    by SkyFox

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Marathon, Florida USA LARGE view; Please! Driving home the other day down US1 – Overseas Highway – I looked out and seen this and saw an image. I pulled over enjoying the last few seconds of the sunset – however – it was this lighting I was seeking! That great light immediately after sunset or before it rises – dawn or dusk light! I name this piece as I did because around here – as there is ONLY ONE ROAD – ONE WAY IN – ONE WAY OUT – we all refer to where a place is located according to its ‘mile marker’ on the map along Oversea Highway. It tends to really help the tourist as well. I have always thought it to be a very cool way of letting someone know literally exactly where something is. One would ask a local: ‘Where is the grocery store’? A local would say ‘Go North and you’ll find it between Mile Marker 90 – 92! • 'Riding the Storm Out'
    by SkyFox

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Islamorada, Florida USA Its well-known to locals here how very fast the weather changes in the Keys. However – tourism is what allows us to exist in this paradise. This fella was obviously not from around these parts as he found himself in a very bad situation in which he had no choice but to ride the storm out! I watch this play out quite often being on the water and its always very sad to me. The people in the boats dont know someone is looking over them from land but I am. I would absolutely call the Coast Guard and 911 if ever I saw someone was really having a hard time. But – this dude seemed to have known what he was doing and also seemed at one with his really BAD decision to go out this particular day. The storm had let up before he got out of eye-sight so I am very sure he made it home to his family safe and this is a Kick Ass story he tells his friends. Too bad I dont know him – he would probably love to have this! / ____ / / / _____ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Reworked now with framing. The background picture is a Original picture By( Steve Pike) of redbubble thanks again steve. The story of Atlantis begins quite literally with two of Plato’s dialogues, Timaeus and Critias. These accounts are the only known written records which refer specifcally to a lost civilization called Atlantis. Many people believe the tale to be complete fiction, the creation of a philosopher’s imagination used to illustrate an argument. Others believe that the story was inspired by catastrophic events which may have destroyed the Minoan civilization on Crete and Thera. Still others maintain that the story is an accurate representation of a long lost and almost completely forgotten land.
