This is a photo of the sea barrier at the wharf in St. Phillips, Newfoundland. The salt water from the ocean has rusted the bolts and caused this array of rainbow colors to stain the wood. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /

This weekend I did something very very silly…. / I took my new camera on a jet ski in a plastic container (i.e not waterproof housing) and got some snaps of Port Phillip Bay. We only nearly fell of the jet ski, hmmm…. repeatedly. I hope it was worth it! Thanks to my Jetski driver and all round relaxing company James

The Flat Earth Society / “The facts are simple,” says Charles K. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. “The earth is flat.” He believes that the main purpose of the space program is to prop up a dying myth—the myth that the earth is a globe. “Nobody knows anything about the true shape of the world,” he contends. The sun and moon, in the Johnson version, are only about 32 miles in diameter. They circle above the earth in the vicinity of the equator, and their apparent rising and setting are tricks of perspective, like railroad tracks that appear to meet in the distance. The moon shines by its own light and is not eclipsed by the earth. Rather, lunar eclipses are caused by an unseen dark body occasionally passing in front of the moon. Johnson’s beliefs are firmly grounded in the Bible.

Built 1930-31, Royal Shipyard (formerly), Castellamare di Stabia. and carried out many voyages before World War II. The period of the war was the only time the ship has not been active. The elegant, three-mated full rigger serves as the training vessel of the Italian Naval Academy. The entire rig and all the sheets are traditional materials: Canvas sails and hemp ropes. The only synthetic on board is the mooring lines, which have to be an approved type for some of the ports they visit. The sheets, laid end to end, span 35 km. This shot was so cool… cause the capt let me shoot while the boat was nearly on it side like a catamaran.. it was so compelling to be almost thrown over.. I kid you not.. the best for me is the mystery.. / will I survive.. ??? Camera stratagy.. I had a plan to toss it to someone as I may have slipped in.. tee hee.. all kinds of adrenalin .. goings on.. / Hope he likes it.. this and the a few other close ups of crew.. I am so happy with. I couldn’t do anything happy yesterday.. my art felt dark and it scared me. I trashed for hours so much.. which I don’t mind and am not fearful of as for me it is practice. but this is what came as a finished piece after hours.. she is my darkness.. she is my retrograde.. here is a great journal that tammy/moonsprial put out.. I don’t do forums but it is interesting how she points out the feelings I seemed to have felt lately. Betrayal and Anger too.. / ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞ /

Plants screaming.. water me.. much to do. But last night..hummm in a land land far away.. I went ship building / . / I found a bay that is full of life / hinting at growth / I found a dock that houses a boat my size / (omg.. fantazimal dimensions) / it’s called a slip / and that’s just what I did / slipped right in, / and so the contract said / expansion expected / nothing stays the same / get ready to move round the bay / seaworthy you will become / besides movement is / good for the hull / holding my heart / and my lungs / where I breath in deep / and smell salt scents / I lick those whenever possible. / However… / I am still trying to pack light / as I would like racing as an option / just in case / passion expands too / then I shall head for the sea / and allow my sails to set a course once again into the unknown.
