Unfortunately the skies here in the desert are mostly hazy and full of sand and dust! There are not too many days when there are clear horizons with clouds, and to be able to catch a sunrise like this was just excellent! Located in Libya towards the Algerian border. / /

These refugee’s were traveling to Chad via Niger and stopped near our rig site to make repairs to their truck. After giving them water food and milk for the women, babies and children, they were gracious enough to let me take some shots. They still had 1000km to travel at this point…......Life is sometimes very cruel! Okay, as you can tell in most of my images, Red keeps popping up. I like the colour a lot. I can’t help it. also, when i don’t know a model that would look good for a shot, i usually use myself. Thats why i have a lot of self portraits =P also, i know this might be a bit cliched since every Arab, or Arab wannabe has a shot like this. But i really like it. comments and critiques always appreciated. =)

Her name is Wulan my college mate from Indonesia. I miss her to bits! She has amazing eyes. First time I saw her, I knew I just had to take a photo of her. And lucky me, I had the chance, we ended up being course mates. This was taken in my very own room-well bathroom to be exact. She slept over at my place. I had this piece of red Thai silk, so I wrapped it around her, dabbed some black eyeliner, and pasted that bindi and starting snapping photos. Probably among my personal favorites to date. Anna Joe

Touareg from Timbuktu. The Touareg people, without a country, lives in several regions and countries of the Sahara desert. Proudly free, they are respected for their attitude and warrior behaviour. They were the only people of the Sahara with an alphabetic writing.
