At the sunset of the summer in 2005, Sydney, I walk pass this tree. Feel the heat of the afternoon sun fall between the shadows of the leaves. I looked up. This is the moment. Another from my deadhead-laden flower box – also see Your Sorrow Will Be Turned To Joy. The emotion in this photo is striking to me. Please see my Etsy listing for a slightly different version of this image – and purchase a pearlescent metallic print of this photograph.

What an amazing little creature. This green tree frog looks so contented sitting in the safety of a large hand. He looks completely at ease and not at all worried about all the people and children who just wanted to see how easy it is being green. He was at the Wollongong Reptile show held at Kanahooka today. Taken with my Canon 40DSLR with the macro lens. / The background has been edited in photoshop as there were children all around the handler. Thanks for stopping by

I was in a melbourne cafe some time ago, sitting at a window bench seat with the window open to the street, when i saw this woman and her dog. I saw a picture of loneliness and resignation – might’ve been off the mark, but that’s what i picked up – and snuck my pocket camera out of my bag and furtively grabbed the base shot for this picture. It was hopelesslessly shaky because i felt a bit guilty snapping her in her moment of solitude, and didn’t want to be seen, but i’ve learned that shakiness needn’t be a bad thing …. I banged this out in one 6 hour sitting last night. Tried lots of things before i arrived at this composition, and technically it was a toughie. / We live in a world where it’s increasingly easy to be surrounded by others, and yet loneliness and despair seems to become a bigger part of our world with every new baby born.
