It was a nice experience to spend one hour with these little-known Golden Monkeys which are listed as “endangered” and are only found in the Virunga Conservation Area in Rwanda. / / They share the lofty mountain forests with their great ape relatives, the Gorillas, and face some of the same threats. These include snares set for small antelopes, human encroachment, and people entering their habitat to collect wood. / / (Virunga volcanoes – Rwanda) / / >< / / / / / / / / /

This elephant stencil was a follow-up to my much loved giraffe (yet to be on red bubble). I find working with a plain white background a challenge which I enjoy and appreciate the end result.

The one thing I do not like about the Philidelphia Zoo is that the Animals are very old, this Stunning Clouded Leopard past on to the Jungle of Heaven earlier in the year. I loved this cat not only because of her daunting look, or her magnificant eyes, but because she was always asleep, so when she was up it was such a treat to be able to get a good photo. Good Bye, and may you have your next life as strong as it was in this life. / / /

Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting more… / / Unfortunately, Mountain Gorilla numbers are small, with only approximately 700 left in the wild. The primary threat comes from forest clearance and degradation, as the region’s growing human population struggles to eke out a living.
