  • A pencil, photoshop, illustrator mix. / Artwork based on the song by Switchfoot. Hello, good morning, how you do? / What makes your rising sun so new? / I could use a fresh beginning too / All of my regrets are nothing new / So this is the way that I say I need You / This is the way that I’m Learning to breathe / I’m learning to crawl / I’m finding that You and You alone can break my fall / I’m living again, awake and alive / I’m dying to breathe in these abundant skies Hello, good morning, how you been? / Yesterday left my head kicked in / I never, never thought that / I would fall like that / Never knew that I could hurt this bad So this is the way I say I need You / This is the way that I say I love You / This is the way that I say I’m Yours / This is the way, this is the way

  • Watch the Video here All that I’m living for / All that I’m dying for / All that I can’t ignore alone at night I can feel the night beginning / Separate me from the living / Understanding me / After all I’ve seen / Piecing every thought together / Find the words to make me better / If I only knew how to pull myself apart All that I’m living for / All that I’m dying for / All that I can’t ignore alone at night / All that I’m wanted for / Although I wanted more / Lock the last open door / My ghosts are gaining on me I believe that dreams are sacred / Take my darkest fears and play them / Like a lullaby / Like a reason why / Like a play of my obsessions / Make me understand the lesson / So I’ll find myself / So I won’t be lost again All that I’m living for / All that I’m dying for / All that I can’t ignore alone at night / All that I’m wanted for / Although I wanted more / Lock the last open door / My ghosts are gaining on me Guess I thought I’d have to change the world / To make you see me / To be the one / I could have run forever / But how far would I have come / Without mourning your love? All that I’m living for / All that I’m dying for / All that I can’t ignore alone at night / All that I’m wanted for / Although I wanted more / Lock the last open door / My ghosts are gaining on me Should it hurt to love you? / Should I feel like I do? / Should I lock the last open door / My ghosts are gaining on me. • / “Peach with Half” is part of the Portfolio, Texture, Tropics and Food Collections..Acrylic on Canvas… The ripest peach is highest on the tree— / And so her love, beyond the reach of me, / Is dearest in my sight. Sweet breezes, bow / Her heart down to me where I worship now! / She looms aloft where every eye may see / The ripest peach is highest on the tree. / Such fruitage as her love I know, alas! / I may not reach here from the orchard grass. / I drink the sunshine showered past her lips / As roses drain the dewdrop as it drips. / The ripest peach is highest on the tree, / And so mine eyes gaze upward eagerly. / Why, why do I not turn away in wrath / And pluck some heart here hanging in my path? / Love’s lower boughs bend with them.. but, ah me! / The ripest peach is highest on the tree! • / “Blueberry Tart” came into being this weekend….I was leafing through old magazines looking for recipes to tear out before discarding, and there and then a new series called “Delicious” was born…it will tie in with my Portfolio and Abundance collections, but this will be all about the food itself without any distractions ... / More than just pictures of food, the series will be saying something about our culture and society, and what we consider to be appealing…what does food mean to us beside just keeping us alive? why do we need it to be embellished and attractive? what does it say about us as a society?....the paintings can stand on their own, but will look great grouped together. Below you can see a painting by the most famous painter of everyday things Wayne Thiebaud…I have no plans to follow Thiebaud and others like him, my style is different, but I do admire what he set out to do as a comment on our society, and that is what I would like to emulate ... Watercolour on Sennelier Not Paper… Both Robert Frost and Pablo Neruda, celebrated the simple things in life in their poetry…here is what Frost says about this incredibly healthful berry. Blueberries as big as the end of your thumb, / Real sky-blue, and heavy, and ready to drum / In the cavernous pail of the first one to come! / And all ripe together, not some of them green / And some of them ripe! You ought to have seen... Robert Frost / Cakes Wayne Thiebaud

  • / It is the simple indulgences in life that set us apart…that make us human…just think of the hot cup of coffee or tea, and the warm, softly glazed cinnamon bun waiting on a pretty plate at tea time or any time for that matter….I have placed mine simply on a mat….cut into it…pass a generous slice of it to your partner…there is enough for both….savour the sweet cinnamony goodness as it yields to your knife…Aah ... Did you know that October the 4th is Cinnamon Bun day in Sweden?...great idea I think…. “*Cinnamon Bun” is the 5th painting in the “Delicious” Collection…Watercolour on Arches Paper.. See the others in the Collection by clicking on the links below… / Scone with Berries and Cream Lemon curd and Blueberry Tart Strawberry Tart Blueberry Tart

  • The cover for Forts Book 3. I have yet to even finish writing book two, but if I haven’t done anything better by the time I finish three, this’ll be the cover. You know…like two years from now.

  • Not sure if I’ll sell this one yet. / view my current eBay listings This one really took a lot out of me and came perilously close to being slashed with a stanley knife last week. Not surprisingly, the face which has finally emerged looks less than happy…..although there is a hint of a wry smile. Perhaps she’s accepted the fact that things don’t always turn out the way you hope they will….but if you let go, you might end up with something far more interesting instead. currently listening to: The Verve – Weeping Willow medium: acrylic on stretched canvas size: 90cm x 120cm

  • Just a panning shot but I love how the tree came out. / D 200 Nikon /

  • Self-portrait The concept first originated when I noticed some time back that my pendant and blazer almost matched in colour, and I was going to name this “The Colour of Wood”. However that idea changed as I recalled a memory flashback. So recently I was wished a friend a Happy Birthday on Facebook; then I suddenly remembered a very sad memory around the same time back in 2004. It was my first year in university and only about a month had passed. I was invited to this girl’s birthday party. I had lots of work to do and I was debating on it. But finally I decided to go as it was the time to get to know new people better. So on the day of the party I was getting ready; then suddenly I got a phone call saying that I should come home; my grandfather had just passed away… I could not believe what I was doing during the last minutes that my grandfather lived; getting ready for a party when I should have been getting work done. My grandfather lived in Japan; and my mother was going to head there to attend his funeral, so I went home for the weekend to see her off. From then on I never went to a party during school (with the exception of one which was a bit like an exhibition; or term end celebrations). The key around my neck was one I carved when I was 17 from a wood print block; which originally belonged to my grandfather. Now his ashes have become a part of the earth, growing into trees; some which later turn into manmade object like my pendant. • Not quite fog …. I was in the middle of a cloud and saw this scene. I had envisioned it with a human form and waited and waited and waited (for over 20 mins) for the scene to form but it remained deserted. But with the cloud lifting, I had to click ….. It’s now complete and as it is with the help of my good friend Glenda (aka Nathalie Chaput) once I showed her the pic and moaned about what I felt was missing . Don’t ask me how she did it – something to do with a couldron ….. ;-) Nikon D80 / Tamron 28-300 VC at 28mm / f/4 at 1/60 sec / Bias +1 / ISO 100; WB Flourescent
