Rutland water is about 30 years old.It was created to provide water storage for the local area but has become a beauty spot and haven for wildlife.It was at one time the largest man made lake in Europe.It is 25 miles around and is used for fishing, sailing, walking and biking. When the valley was filled this church was left half submerged . It is now an information centre.
