  • An old rusty Landcruiser bonnet makes for an abstract image of rusty colours patterns and shapes / Taken on Fuji S3 Pro

  • This is a serendipitous creation…. a rich sunset, a piece of ‘junk’ metal, ...and one of my favourite photos :)

  • This old tractor and cart reside on a property which has been dontated to Council locally – as you can see by the sign leaning on the cart, they used to sell honey and eggs to the locals. This has been treated with a few filters in Photoshop to try for an ink/sepia wash look. Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM

  • Just to be different – playing up the rusted orange look of the old machine. / Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM

  • Image taken at Korumburra Railway Station in Victoria. No 3 of 8.

  • I started this image layering 6 different pictures of clouds. I then made 5 variations of the car picture. Then they were all layered together and adjustments were made to contrast and lightness. Original photography by Tracy Bollinger.

  • A rusty old Vespa. It’s seen better days, but it still can’t help looking cool. View larger for the full effect. Also available: Photo version of Veteran Vespa

  • Some beautiful texture and colour on a building in Essaouira, Morocco. This is how I envisage the three of them being displayed, in fact I have them in a box frame like this and I think they’re pretty spiffy! I’ve tried to simulate the style of frame to give you a sense of it.

  • Beautiful colour and texture on a building in Essaouira, Morocco.

  • You may be just like everyone else, but with the right treatment… (Pentax K10D + Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro) (oh, and it’s the low stone wall of church with a spiky metal ‘railing’ laid on top of it, which I’m guessing is intended to discourage pigeons from hanging around the area.)

  • From a wall in Sintra Portugal

  • Another macro-ish shot of some beautiful atrophy. looks like a planet, as seen from the sky. keep an eye out for an upcoming calendar with these images of entropy.

  • A close up from my “Rotting Away” Series The rusting left front fender.

  • Stars cut in 55 gallon steel drum set in a collage mike

This is the largest island of Ireland, and is situated off the west coast. It has a population of 2,700. Its area is 148 km² (57 mi²). It’s gorgeous. It is believed that at the end of the Neolithic Period (around 4000 BCE), Achill had a population of 500–1,000 people. Mostly forested until the Neolithic people began crop cultivation; settlement increased during the Iron Age, and the dispersal of small forts around the coast indicate the warlike nature of the times. Today the economy of the island is largely dependent on tourism; agriculture plays a small role and is only profitable because of European Union subsidies. As the island is mostly bog agriculture is limited largely to sheep farming. / Canon EOS 400D 18-55mm lens.

  • Featured in the group Old & Rusty in August 2009 Memories of yesteryear are fading with the deterioration of this long-retired steam locomotive in the backyard of the Central Railway station in Bogotá! Though a restored version of this one is in use today as a tourist attraction, the uneven railway ties offer a land version of sea sick! Still the 3 hour train trip from Bogotá to Zipaquirá offers an interesting trip back in time when these trains actually transported people and goods throughout the plains of Bogotá Cundinamarca…the restored locomotive used is included for comparison and contrast! / /

  • Photo taken at Point Peron Western Australia, Textures added. Olympus E-410

  • Once it had a hard working life at a productive desert gold mine, now this vintage work horse is retired to the back lots and the mine closed down.

  • I visited an abandoned brickworks factory in Melbourne, with fellow bubbler, Chris (pennphotography). The place was full of old rusted cogs and machines used to make the bricks. Tricky footwork and a lot of dust later, this is one of the final shots I came up with. Looking through Chris’ folio, you will find more pieces from our adventures in the abandoned factory. More to come.. Featured in Monochrome / Featured in Unwanted Abandoned & Saved Through Preservation Original file layered and texture layer added from www.deviantart.com – free use stock. Hue desaturated and lightness slightly increased. Canon 50D / 18 – 55, 58mm Edited 9pm MCN: C5U5Q-3N26U-6MYGD

  • On the bridge…Elizabeth Park…Trenton, Michigan —-—-—-—-——- Nikon D90 / Sigma 70-200 2.8 / f3.2

  • Another shot from the abandoned brickworks factory in Brunswick, Melbourne. This was on the second level up, hidden in the back corner of the room. It grabbed my attention as it was the only real red painted object in the room. Everything else was a reddish brown rust. I was exploring there with Chris, have a gander at his folio for more shots from our adventures. Textures used from www.deviantart.com free use stock, viewfinder texture from AaronCampbell on deviantart.com. Colour tweaking and lightening to achieve a faded vintage feel.
