Over the past week we have suffered from an extreme heatwave (the hottest week in Melbourne for 100 years) here in Melbourne with temperatures soaring over 40 degrees and up to 45 degrees. Yesterday in a bid to escape the heat I visited Warburton and found a water hole on the yarra river. I am uploading a few images from this this excursion. Taken on the 31-1-09
At the top of this hill was a dam with a lot of frogs. We could not see them but the sound of the frogs croaking was beautiful. We walked down a bush path and followed the over flow of that dam. Into a rainforest area. There are lots of tree plantations but lucky down in the valleys they left the bush untouched. Lapoinia, Tasmania /
