Mother nature presented me on a last October evening with one of those sunsets that you can hope to see just once a year if you’re lucky. / High layers of scattered clouds, a pure, clean atmosphere and the fact that at the end of october the twilight lasts almost a hour, all this elements contributed in producing a stunning natural show. This is the Po River near to Carignano in Piedmont, Italy. I hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo

Ya, thought the title pretty much summed it up! Captured a couple night ago as the sun was sinking low out at Reunion Lake on the eastern plains of Colorado. The colors were just stunning, I was pretty awe struck, it yielded quite a few really nice shots! Let me know what ya think! / —-John

Sunday, September 21 – Buckley Falls I’ve been here a few times but never during sunrise. It’s great to get a different perspective on a familiar setting, had some nice light fall on the falls!
The colors are just starting to turn here, and you just can’t beat Michigan fall colors! HDR This piece was featured by The Red Barn group, Dilapidated Buildings group, Michigan Beauty group and Rural America group. THANK YOU!!
I was transfixed when I saw this breathtaking scene last evening near my place in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania on November 21, 2008. Early winter snows are always the best! Taken with a Canon Digital Rebel EOS Xsi. / / /
Captured 12/13/2008 on a very frigid morning at Cherry Creek State Park, here in Colorado, I froze my damn keester off because I was dense and forgot to bring along my damn jacket! It was an incredible sunrise folks, one which I won’t forget, the colors changed and developed by the minute, going from the cool blues to the warm pinks, reds, and oranges…and I was able to get something in the shots which I had never had been able to before, the lake actually shimmering! In some of the other shots in days to come, you can really see this, and you kind of can here in the bottom left side a tad, an odd occurrence, and one I finally managed to snag! Long exposure, using my Singh-Ray CPL and Marumi ND4, on my Minolta 18-70 DT Lens, I hope ya all like it, let me know what ya think! / —-John !

A black and white pastel on black acid free paper of the beautiful, cascading Horseshoe Waterfalls, Australia. What delight we felt when we first discovered this. It was located at the end of our street where we used to live and was only a 5 minute walk, that took us to a peaceful place where we could forget the world for a while. It is still only a 10 minute drive away. Waterfalls are usually geological formations resulting from water, often in the form of a stream flowing over an erosion-resistant rock that forms a nickpoint or sudden break in elevation. Whatever the description waterfalls are a natural wonder and there are some breathtaking ones all over the world. The waterfall drops its sparkling veil / covering its rock face leaving slippery trails / twinkling drops of water bursting in the light / its beauty never ending even at night! My First Visit to Leeds Castle / Looking through the blossom. Easter Flowing Beauty at Leeds Castle Kent UK. On this photography trip, I thought “I’ll go out and only take my 50mm prime (no Zoom capability) with me, this meant that for every single shot, to get the framing right I had to move rather than the lense. It was really interesting. Peoeple were watching me much more than normal, I had to duck down, stan tall, kneel in mud and walk back or walk forward, just to get the framing right. It was a good exercise because what you do get with a prime lense is pure light and quality of glass. It’s obvious in the sharp details in the 170 pictures I took on this shoot. I’ll definitely try it again. However, only taking the 50mm prime did hhave it’s limitations as well. I couldn’t get close enough to some subjects to capture the detail that I’d like to have. However, next time I can alway take along my zoom with me. One good things about Leeds Castle, it cost £16.50 to get in, but that enables you to go back as my times as you like within one year. So I’ll definitely be back to capture some more wonderful scenes from here. The place is a choc-box full of delights for any photographer or artist. It’s magical and amazing. / Camera.
