  • Seville, Vic, Australia. I saw this grove of Chestnut trees on the side of the road and jumped a barbed wire fence to shoot it. It was such a surreal morning with the mist rolling through the trees. Took about a dozen shots here and stole 7 chestnuts which I had with my dinner that night. It was only after uploading this that I decided that I’m not entirely happy with it. I have about 10 different versions of it shot at different angles some of which I think are a little better.

  • The lagoon was of course not blue. the blue of the sky is false colour obtained from the exchange of the red and blue channels of an infrared picture. The photo was taken in Geelong at the Aboriginal Craft & Cultural Interpretation Centre – Narana Creations. They have a beautiful walk and lots of artwork to buy. It’s a great chance to learn a little more about Australia’s real history. If it sounds like a plug then I guess it is although only by someone who’s been there once and was very impressed. It’s my first infrared lake so I’m happy with the results.

  • Mother nature presented me on a last October evening with one of those sunsets that you can hope to see just once a year if you’re lucky. / High layers of scattered clouds, a pure, clean atmosphere and the fact that at the end of october the twilight lasts almost a hour, all this elements contributed in producing a stunning natural show. This is the Po River near to Carignano in Piedmont, Italy. I hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo

  • Taken late afternoon with the sunbeams trying to penetrate the thick smoke from doing burning off… DebsPhotos

  • Moonrise on Melrose © Vicki Ferrari This photograph was taken on the Melrose Road, Albert (central New South Wales, Australia), in the 1980’s. This is a scan of the 8X12 print in one of my earlier portfolios – there has only been basic editing done in photoshop, to remove the inevitable dust and scratches that are prominent with negative use (which become really apparent once you have scanned the image!). Apart from that, what you see is what it is! This is one of my favourites. It was even used in a country music CD a few years ago! I was a bit impressed by that – chuffed almost! (yes, I was chuffed, not almost!) You can take pity on the person that was in the car with me, driving home at night and having to stop! I have to take a photo! (and how often do we do that?!) I hope you like this and thank you for looking and reading! Vicki Ferrari
