A glowing, country highway under a giant, rising moon. Another daytime road shot gone serenely night. The original photograph was taken somewhere in the Texas Hill Country, on a hot, sunny, summer morning.
A break in the clouds behind me created this dramatic scene.

I live in a very rural area that was once bigger than it is now…so buildings and houses that are abandoned and neglected are very common. This is an abandoned pool hall, and it sits right on the Texas side of the Texas/Louisiana state line… (when it was open you could buy liquor on the Texas side..but not on the Louisiana side)... but as you can tell…it has been years since the days when this building was used. It actually has no door..no windows… and the back wall has completely fallen taken 1.09.08 / ISO 64 / 1/90 3.2 / 3484×2550 / hdr/ converted to black and white

Now thats some kind of bull! A sculpture that is on a County Road outside of Johnson City, Texas.
The front porch of the little antique shop down the street from my house. Same front porch as my summertime “Sittin’ Spot” photo. Taken in Munday, Texas on my Canon D30. It was early evening and I wasn’t sure what settings to put the camera on so this was taken on automatic mode (like most of my shots!).
