  • ((Not sure which I like best of the two???)) / FAITHFUL IS HE WHO HAS PROMISED [poem by Annie Johnson Flint] / Are you passing through a testing. Is your pillow wet with tears? Do you wonder what the reason, Why it seems God never hears? Why it is you have no answer To your oft, repeated plea, Why the heaven still is leaden As you wait on bended knee? Do you wonder as you suffer, Whether God does understand, And if so, why He ignores you, Fails to hold you in His Hand? / Do black doubts creep in, assail you, Fears without—and fears within, Till your brave heart almost falters And gives way to deadly sin? All God’s testings have a purpose, Someday you will see the light. All He asks is that you trust Him, Walk by faith and not by sight. / Do not fear when doubts beset you, Just remember – He is near; He will never, never leave you, He will always, always hear. Faithful is He who has promised, He will never let you fall, Daily will the strength be given Strength for each and strength for all. / He will gladly share pain with you, He will gladly give you peace. Till your tired and weary body Finds its blessed, glad release. When the darkened veil is lifted, Then, dear heart, you’ll understand Why it is you had to suffer, Why you could not feel His hand Giving strength when it was needed, Giving power and peace within. Giving joy thru tears and trial, Giving victory over sin. So till then just keep on trusting, Thru the sunshine and the rain. [Heb. 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)]

  • This is a view of a small cornfield in Corrales, NM with the Sandia Mountains in the background.

  • Fields outside Roundwood in County Wicklow , Ireland on a summers day in early July!. Wicklow is known as the garden county so plenty of rain needed I guess to keep it looking lush.

  • Cows grazing peacefully in the open / rural landscape of southern Sweden.

  • Original of Abstract Barn which is an old falling down barn which, by the way, is still in use photographed in the later afternoon sun. Because the sunlight faded the sky, I “painted one”. /

  • This is the (beautiful) region I live in. This place is about ~1 km from my home, so it is my neighborhood. I was walking for relaxing and taking photos of this place and suddenly appeared these two girls with their ponies. They did not see my camera so it is much of a candid photo. The “smoke” in the background is natural fog and low standing clouds even though it is 4:30 p.m. and it is summer. Nothing is burning :)) / Weather phenomena are very weird, instable and rapidly changing in this mountain area Nikon D90 DSLR. Nikkor 18-105 VR. / 1/320 f/10.0 157mm(35) ISO 200 Mode=Landscape AF=3d / No postworking – No photoshop / As is – Unaltered original image Germany

  • My grandson plays FarmTown and Farmville on the internet, and he loves plowing, planting, and harvesting his crops. When he came to visit me in the country, I told him I’d take him to a real farm where there is real plowing, planting, and harvesting. We pulled up to this watermelon patch where farmers were picking the fruit and we got permission to take their picture. We even bought a luscious melon that was sweet and juicy and ripe from the field, no artificial means of rushing the crop here, just Mother Nature’s slow and easy way of seeing the crop to full maturity. What a lovely day we had visiting the farmlands and meeting the farmers. I’d like to dedicate this photo to the hard working people who produce our food and keep life on Planet Earth thriving.

  • I know it looks like dusk but it’s an abandoned farm house shot at 0141hrs in pitch black, overcast: 563 second exposure (around 9mins) done at F5.0, 0ev bias, fully manual, on BULB, with a wireless remote, ISO 100, 24MM. May 2009, London, Ontario, Canada
