  • Quiet Barn
    by Karri Klawiter

    US$4.99–US$114.00

When I first came to Redbubble, I only had a couple pieces to post. I always reduced the size of my photos before editing them(making them too small for here), just didn’t have a reason to keep them full size until Redbubble. Anyways, I threw this pic up, just so I had more than 2 posted. I didn’t really even like it. The original shot’s exposure was all kinds of screwed up. I edited so much, I was just plain sick of it. But like I said, it was a filler pic. I sooo did not expect the amount of attention it received, much less that it sold. I’ve actually grown to really like it too. So I thought I’d share this, and the original shot with everyone. So here it is: This piece was my very first sold piece. It was also chosen for the Featured Art Page (before group featuring), featured in A Photographer’s Craft group, and was a finalist in the May US Scenic Photo Contest. Thank You!! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / This piece can be found in my Abandoned Calendar. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— If you like these, check out the rest of my Rural America Series

I finally found the tractor I have been looking for. I saw this old antique from the road and thankfully had my camera in tow. I braved the 3 feet of snow and frigid Newfoundland winds but I finally got my shot I’d been waiting to get. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

  • Snow and sunshine
    by Agnes McGuinness

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Late afternoon on a snowy day, County Derry, N. Ireland. Taken with a Canon EOS 50, Fuji Reala iso 100, +2 exposure compensation. Scanned, resized then post processed with levels and curves and a hint of usm. The day I took this photo, a snowy fog came down, and I lost all sense of directions. I wandered about for ages, very cold, and getting really scared.

  • View Through the Gate
    by Angela Harburn

    US$4.16–US$95.00

On the drive home from Barnard Castle today I stopped at the side of the road and walked down the field to photograph the old disused Langleydale railway viaduct in the snow (as you do!). As I was returning to the car – I spotted the two rickety gates silhouetted against the snow and the winter sunset. The bird is a little added extra – a photoshop brush kind courtesy of WyckedBrush of Deviant Art. /

  • Captured 12/13/2008 on a very frigid morning at Cherry Creek State Park, here in Colorado, I froze my damn keester off because I was dense and forgot to bring along my damn jacket! It was an incredible sunrise folks, one which I won’t forget, the colors changed and developed by the minute, going from the cool blues to the warm pinks, reds, and oranges…and I was able to get something in the shots which I had never had been able to before, the lake actually shimmering! In some of the other shots in days to come, you can really see this, and you kind of can here in the bottom left side a tad, an odd occurrence, and one I finally managed to snag! Long exposure, using my Singh-Ray CPL and Marumi ND4, on my Minolta 18-70 DT Lens, I hope ya all like it, let me know what ya think! / —-John !

  • One Careful Owner
    by Angela Harburn

    US$4.16–US$95.00

Had a great adventure today – went for a drive to the forest for a ‘quick walk’ to take a few photos of the beautiful winter landscape – didn’t quite work out that way though!!! We ended up having to abandon the car in the forest car park as we couldn’t make it back up the frozen road to the top and the forest driveway that we had planned to return along was closed off with locked barriers – so ended up having to walk some extra 3 miles to the nearest village where we luckily caught the bus home! lol I’m sure someone suggested leaving the car at the top of the track and walking down …. still it was a fabulous day and have got some amazing shots in the forest to share! x This was taken along the road between Hamsterley Forest and Woodland Village on the walk back – must have been someone’s pride and joy once – and I’m sure those pigeon sheds would have held many a prize winning bird in their day.

  • Country Relaxin’ EarIier this year, ventured up to Guanella Pass and onwards to the Ghost Town of Como, a literal timewarp that harks back to the wildwest, fully intact and persevered, few folks still live here. It is high up, probably close to 10,000 feet, and this winter has been VERY bad in the high country. In fact just last week they interviewed a resident of Como and she talked about how the town was totally cut off of supplies…which made me right away think of the horses there. I have photographed these horses the last 5 years now, and I always find them so friendly…not your typical horses, these are true and tried working horses…where Cowboys still exist and the west still lives. Upon entering Como, I was shocked at the snowbanks, over 20 feet high, and they were plowed out finally from a construction crew using Caterpillars. And low and behold, so was the feeding field for the horses….... :) I was happy they were ok, as I was quite concerned, as they have become kind of a good friend to me and my camera. More on Como can be found here and here and it’s history as a Wild West town Thoughts welcomed / —-John

Old Oak tree has lost all its original limbs but recently sprouted a new top.

  • Taken in Berkshire, Vermont Jan 29, 2009 Canon 40D 70-300 lens. This is one of the roads in my neighborhood. I love these roads. This is what Vermont is all about. Those beautiful rural places.

  • What could be more Albertan than free-range cattle, strolling through the valleys in the foothills- the snow- clad peaks of the rugged Rockies providing a backdrop I don’t suppose you could find anywhere else in the world. I love how spare this image is-winter can make this area of southern Alberta seem so barren and abstract- but believe it or not, you get addicted to these wide open spaces/

  • War at Home
    by Thomas Akers

    US$4.43–US$101.08

The scene is a small town in the mountains of Virginia, an area that has historically given a disproportionate sacrifice in the nation’s wars but suffers its share of the nation’s wealth. Bedford is nearby. It is the current time and there is a “Support Our Troops” sign taped in the window of a long closed business. December’s sun echos the contrasting theme in the strong lights and shadows thrown across flaking paint and rotting snow. An old man clearing the street speaks to youth’s absence from this scene. Yet it features endurance and hope also; life carries on. The building promises an occupant, as the sunlight and bare tree promise a spring and those at home do what they must and abide. 24×28” acrylic on linen covered wood.

  • This is a photo taken in my neighborhood, Woodland Hills, Utah. This community sits at about 6,000 feet altitude on the side of a mountain. This is the main road into the neighborhood and this location is at about 700 South on Woodland Hills Drive. We received another foot of snow on January 2nd and this was taken on January 3rd as we drove to town. We love this beautiful community and it’s clean air, four seasons and beautiful nature as well as the wildlife we get to observe. This is where we have retired and we love being here. / FEATURED in the group Snow! Glorious Snow!!
