The small basket is filled with hickory nuts, walnuts, etc. The midsize basket has one large pine cone and pine branches, while the large basket has tipped over spilling it’s collection of pine cones. The lighting creates a romantic, old world feel.

This is the first year we have had any substantial fruit on our little apple tree. I posted the lovely apple blossoms in the early Spring and here, for a follow up of the juicy goodness to come, is a lovely green apple, still in progress. Photographed late day against the backdrop of our red barns. Dappled light filtering through from the right side of the image lends a surreal sense of summer’s sanguinity.

I took a drive out to the wheat belt out here in Western Australia over the weekend, and I stopped at various locations along the way. / It was the first day of sunshine this month, and the first taste of spring.
