I was starting to think so. There is so much discussion turning on its self at the moment. Yesterday alone there was four major Blog’s on dissent, opinion and attitude. / It looked like the Art Riot’s were on there way. / Which lead me to believe that RUIN had firmly infiltrated the site. / He already hit me hard and quite frankly when STRINGER appeared I was a bit worried he may have be RUIN incarnate. I was very wrong. / This place almost looked like it was going to eat itself. / But don’t worry, good news is at hand. / Last night My cat Tiddles after a trip to vet and sleeping at the end of our bed being restless all week. / Went out last night. / Sarah – My Step daughter-who had a bad night time barking cough all week slept quietly last night. / At 4 AM this morning- my magic time when all my idea seem to rush my head- I thought of this post. / Everything’s going to be fine. Things are going to settle down now. We all got comfortable and content and everybody knows Familiarity breeds contempt. We left a big door open. / I feel good about this, I feel good about life and today is my birthday and I woke to sound of lots of loved ones who in turn love me. / Have a great day. I am

If it's Ruined, then fix it, or better still - start again.

I received this in a BubbleMail today, IT was from myself which leads me to believe that he’s still out there. / You know who I mean. / I don’t care, I’ve still got a cat. In the cave behind my eyes where the ideas grow , fester or are devoured and regurgitated over and over again there lies a pool of thick syrupy residue. / The sharpened pencil that finds these ideas often will make people scream as it penetrates my ear hole and the residue leeks onto the page. Maybe I should find somewhere more intimate than public transport for putting writings in my journal. Is this what it has come too? It wasn’t always like this. The Sirens of Red Bubble were exposed as the ugly rock dwelling parasites waiting to watch you crash. All those voyeurs with See Sickness and Repetitive Stain Injury, their fingers brown from clicking the favourites button so they in turn would be loved, even though these “favourites” would never be viewed again. All in a vain hope of reaching the pinnacle of popularity and its tiny handhold only to be greased and goosed by those who want it more. And below them are the Lions and the Clowns each as vicious in attack whether it be tooth, claw, fish or a bucket of confetti. Then there are those who steal your art, are you really safe? Do you think you can stop a Nigerian Advertising Company from taking your pictures from the web? / Firstly how would you know? Your local Solicitor/Lawyer is useless, for they in reality are signatories and glorified record keepers who want money up front in a trust fund so the can get paid to tell you they think “it’s in their jurisdiction or field of expertise but if you have a will you need doing?” Too much information has led to experts in deception; the spin doctors rule the world. The Interweb has become the bedroom of that skanky whore Miss Information and has seduced everyone and infected them with Speculative Transmitted Diseases that has chewed out their reality like syphilis to a brain. No one knows who to believe. Every event is a conspiracy; every conspiracy has a dozen angles, every angle a thousand experts. Put on your Rose Coloured Glasses or your Red Bubble Vision and just believe what the others tell you. These glasses were once clean now they are thinly coated with the thick syrupy residue that hides behind our ears and makes the commuters scream in shock, horror or outrage. Groups become gangs, gangs become violent , hierarchy or territorial. Ultimately they seek to lead and in due course control. They do this by teaching the simple, the simple lessons. Always favourite also view and you too will be on top. / The anonymous individual now craves acceptance and wants to be part of the crowd, why? Why crave acceptance when the Interweb is the biggest game of Hide and seek on the planet. Don’t want to be found? Don’t go back, become someone else. Want sympathy? Create a disease. I have a disease, it’s called non conformance and I would love to infect you all but an uncontrolled outbreak would be cancer for the cure. Things are gonna change, the writings on the toilet walls.

i donot rest easy. ihave seen and been though the intestinal tract of a bastardcat and been buried with rabbitbones surrounded by a wall of faeces. thank dog for stupid neighbours ,porches and laptops. i know now i was used. a patsy. a pawn. there was one smarter, devious ratcunning in their pores. they used me and had more patience. i wanted artriots and anarchy. they used their doggiven sex. ha they have gone so much further in such a shorter time my head is hurting with the simplicity of it all. be a friend , use yr sex , bare yr assets . infiltrate . bloodbubble is now their playground. those who know of history and current affairs, those who can detect and deconstruct will know of who and what I speak. those that do not are the next victims. i was greedy and stupid and must spend my time covered in catturds while they prosper and cast their evil. i donnot like any of you but i warn you they are already here and maybe you think them yr friend. more fool you . i am tiredso tired so veryvery tired redbubblebloodbubblebloodythebloodis goo googa joob

Yep! My last two rolls of film I just went out of my way to finish shooting were screwed up today; the machine malfunctioned. I come home to hear this on my phone answering machine. It has been a long time since this has happened to me, but boy it does not feel good. Some very nice shots from our trip to Bryce are now as if they had never been taken. I have some other shots from that trip but I was looking forward to seeing these too. On a lighter and happier note I want to thank everyone here at the Redbubble community for their support and comments on my work. To have a public place to share one’s work is so important to motivate us and inspire us to keep trying our best. Eventually we get to know each other a bit better and begin to understand what makes each of us create what we do. I know there has been chatter about who is on the front page and who is selling what here, but we should all remember we have different reasons for going public. It is fun to be able to say I have sold something and to have been featured in some way. It is also fun to get to know the other artists, help them and learn from them, and realize after awhile you look forward to hearing from them again. As this site matures it will become easier for us to do just that. I’m happy to be here with the few representing the USA among the many Australians who are so far the heart of this site. I hope to make it “down there” someday.

Well, last night, I broke myself playing soccer. Got a huge ugly tackle from behind, took out my right leg, and had all my weight on my left ankle, which collapsed under me. Couldn’t walk on it for a couple of minutes, cried like a bitch. Went and got some ice for it, sat on the sidelines for 10 minutes, came back on so we we’rent a man down, and tried to keep my weight on my right leg. Switched into goalkeeper in the second half, went out to close down a shot, dropped to the ground with all my weight over my right leg, rolled my ankle, and snapped it twice right near the joint. Now I have a fucking cast, and can’t do shit. I’m very very annoyed. On top of that, being on crutches, I have to use only my left leg to stand on, and my left ankle is bruised and sore as fuck.

Some kind people have asked about my garden. It is not very big but has been designed to look very large. The entirety of the garden is impossible to see in any one location. In person it is intimate and everything is close by and touchable. There is no one time of year when the garden is at it’s best but my wife and I do enjoy it when the wild California poppies bloom. The rocks have been collected over a period of twenty years and most of them carried in the back of my hatchbacks, a Tercel, Civic, and Mazda 3. I have never owned a pickup truck. Most of the rocks have been found near roads in the mountains or just empty fields. Finding beautiful rocks is getting harder as I’m not the only one looking for them. The look of this garden can only be arrived at with the passage of time. / Wabi sabi and whimsy have guided efforts in it’s conception. The cats love the garden as do birds of all kinds, plus snakes and lizards. I hope to retain possession of it until I die and most of my retirement will involve recording it in creative ways. I’d like to capture in paint someday as well.

Yesterday a group of photography-friends went South in search of locations to capture on binary-film. I shot a myriad of interesting shots, yet only a few I consider worthy of inclusion on Redbubble. Displayed below are my photographs of the rustic remains of the historic boat-sheds at Second Valley. , ,

Blue Mountains Blue Mountains National Park is one of New South Wales’ best known parks, and at over 247,000 ha is also one of the biggest. It is just 50km to the west of Sydney, and is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area which protects over a million hectares of land. It offers much to both the keen bushwalker and the casual tourist. The edge of the park is relatively developed in areas with information centres, constructed walking tracks and picnic areas. Yet in the interior there is a huge amount of rugged, relatively unexplored country with spectacular gorges and canyons, soaring cliffs and forested ridges. Opportunities abound for bushwalking, mountain biking, canyoning, abseiling, climbing and caving in the park. Ruined Castle Walk Time: 4 hours Distance 8km Ascent: 220m The Ruined Castle is an outcrop of large rocky boulders that lies in the middle of the ridge that runs from Castle Head, off Narrow Neck Peninsula, to Mt Solitary. It is a local high point, jutting out above the surrounding bush, and has 360 degree views of the area. The walk from the Golden Stairs to the Ruined Castle is one of the best easy day walks in the Blue Mountains. / For a longer walk, it is possible to start or finish (or both) the walk at the Scenic Railway or Furber Steps, below Scenic World at Katoomba. This adds about 2.5km each way, and if you only do it for one way you will need a car shuffle. / From the car park, head down the Golden Stairs. A short distance from the top is a good lookout across to the Landslide and Dogface. Dogface (and the Landslide) was formed in 1931 when a large section of cliff fell away, possibly because of previous mining activity. / The Golden Stairs descend steeply and quickly to the Federal Pass walking track below. Turn right at the track junction and head along the track towards the Ruined Castle. / The track to the Ruined Castle follows the line of an old shale railway, which used to haul shale from mines out near the Ruined Castle. You can also see coal on the ground at various points from other old mining operations in the area. The track passes into deep rainforest in the shadow of the cliffs, with giant tree ferns and coachwood abounding. After some distance the forest opens out with large eucalypts. / About 2.5km along the trail, you reach a junction, with a sign to the right to the Ruined Castle, and another noting that the track is in very poor condition. Head up this track. It climbs quickly up to a saddle, and then again to the top of the ridge, where it continues relatively gently to a large collection of rocky boulders. This is the Ruined Castle. / It is fairly straightforward to climb to the highest of these, although some of the smaller ones require an exposed scramble or climb to reach the top. The scenery is superb, with 360 degree views of the Katoomba cliffs as far as Kedumba Walls and the Kings Tableland to the east, Mt Solitary, Lake Burragorang to the south and Narrowneck to the west. / Have lunch here, keeping an eye out for the greedy crows who will make an assault on any unguarded food, before making your way back. For a slightly longer walk, continue along the track towards Mt Solitary, but turn left when you rejoin the Mt Solitary track. This adds an extra kilometre or so to the walk. / If you are heading back late in the afternoon, the sun should be well-positioned for photos of Dogface near the top of the climb back up the Golden Stairs.

OK so some of you may have noticed i take a lot of photos of old crumbly stairs. This was not always so. / My group of RB addicts and I have been going to the old Red Cliff site a lot this summer. / Its outside in the sunshine, filled with strange pockets of rusty metal and old floor tiles exposed to the elements and overgrown with weeds. / And as much as I love the place I think its time to stop. / I currently have 14 images on RB from the area. I have over 700 pics of the place on my computer at home. / Its time for the madness to end! Red Cliff Radar Base
