Nakalele Blowhole truly a miracle of nature. A shelf of lava rock on the north shore of Maui eroded by the punishing sea until the waves created a vent that spews like a geyser off and on and when the llight of late afternoon hits the spray the miracle of rainbow color becomes apparent.

Carved By Nature’s Wrath / The 12 Apostles, Victoria Following a day of torrential rain and gale force winds, the sun shone momentarily, lighting up the moody sky, before plunging the rugged coastline into complete darkness. As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast. I’ve just returned from a most enjoyable holiday in Cornwall and hope you will enjoy seeing some of the beauty that the county has to offer the visitor. This composition is taken looking Eastwards from near Pendeen lighthouse on the North coast, as I walked down the track and past masses of bluebells and other wildflowers, the view along the rugged coast looked particularly beautiful. A sheltered golden beach with nobody on it, the rugged coast and the Atlantic breakers were our only companions, perhaps you can understand why I choose to spend many of my holidays in Cornwall rather than going overseas.
