v2 of the famous Rails Camp tee
The original Rails Camp tee
An experiment with the idea of a self-documenting t-shirt. The design contains a simple plot of a Mandelbrot Set which is overlaid with the ruby code that was used to produce it. The code itself emits a monochrome PBM file which I then converted into a PNG and then used Photoshop Elements to merge it with the code that produced it. Ideally, the ultimate version of the t-shirt would be the one that contained the code that produces a finished PNG that can simply be uploaded to RedBubble with no manual fiddling. All in good time…

Toward evening they came to a great forest, where the trees grew so big and close together that their branches met over the road of yellow brick. It was almost dark under the trees, for the branches shut out the daylight; but the travelers did not stop, and went on into the forest. “If this road goes in, it must come out,” said the Scarecrow, “and as the Emerald City is at the other end of the road, we must go wherever it leads us.” “Anyone would know that,” said Dorothy. - The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

I love how this tiny bird looks lost in thought. Ruby Throated Hummingbird
My bottlebrush is just beginning to bloom; it didn’t take this hummingbird long to discover the very first blossom and relish its sweetness.
Not only humans can enjoy the drive in window at Sonic or McDonald’s; hummers have their own variety. Sip and hover is their version of a slush on the run! Ruby-throated hummingbird enjoying the nectar of bottlebrush blossom!
I love the website “Whatbird.com” because it not only describes each bird but also provides an audio clip of its song. The “song” of a hummingbird sounds more like the whirring of an engine or some kind of alien hovercraft than an actual song! I never tire of watching these energetic little feather balls hovering, sometimes only inches away from me! Click here to see and hear the ruby-throated hummer on whatbird.com

A shot of a big ice stick after a time in the freezer, place under cold water …it cracked up!!! I wanted to keep it for more shots, you can imagine what happened after I poured out water on it to get rid of the frost…so I tried different angles and put it over different things in the house with that result.Half white and half red…I created the heart with photoshop but the rest of the pic is untouched…just for fun…I’ve made a duo out of it called…”Pearl” / / / /
