A distressed version especially for the Out of the Past group
Ist of a series of photos of a road in the peak district that over the years has slipped away and is no longer usable, huge cracks are all over, you can still see the white lines down what was the middle of the road. It is the road from Castleton that runs up below the shivering mountain (mam Tor) to the top of Winnats Pass, it has now been many years since any traffic passed on here.
Also available for Light colours
A rock formation in the peak district, 3 exposures merged into HDR
The Grantham canal ambles for 33 miles between Grantham and Nottingham, passing through some beautiful farmland and countryside. It was once a major commercial route for transporting goods between the two towns, but with the advent of the railways its commercial viability began a decline. It was officially closed in 1936, though it had been unused for the 10 years preceding the closure and had lain unloved and mostly forgotten for over 80 years. Some stretches are completely dry, locks have rotted away and trees overhang and completely block it in many places. / / Well, all that’s about to change; this fella is part of the dredging operation designed to reopen the canal for leisure traffic. It’s a huge project and has taken over 30 years to organise. Can you imagine the amount of sludge they have to dig out of that thing? / / I’ve always been passionate about our English countryside and heritage, so it’s wonderful to see it being restored like this.
Self Explanatory :) xxoo
“Yes I know sweetheart, but they cancelled the late one so I’ve missed the last one tonight, I’ll just have to find a hotel here… I will… Kiss the kids for me and I’ll see you tomorrow night….. yep! ... love you too sweetheart!...”
And add campaign…
This really caught my eye, the fact that a mirror was still intact on the wall when just about everything else was broken or ripped off, including the sinks!
would you believe me if I told you that this started life as a Photograph of a Lemon!
