THIS is a prized shot of a closeup taken in the garden of a dear friend, Roxanne Lewis, of Elyria, Ohio. By the way, HER backyard garden recently won first place, I believe, in a magazine garden contest, and it is WELL-DESERVED! It is a sheer ‘sanctuary’ for her and for ANY Nature Lover who adores flowers and plants. What she has done with just her backyard space is NONE SHORT of SPECTACULARLY AMAZING! It is Beautiful with all sorts, from Hibiscus, to Tomatos, to Collard Greens, to Candlesticks….complete with bees, etc. (smile) But they seem to be friendly enough to let you share the garden, and even get some candid shots of them too! ;-D

This was taken from the now famous ‘Roxanne’s Garden’. Here is a shot of a Black Jacket Bumble Bee happily feasting on a purple stick, which was obviously wonderful, as he even obliged my closeness to get the picture. I do not have a high powered zoom to get the close-ups like many do! I have to ‘BE THERE’, and this bumble didn’t mind at all! Thank GOD!!!!!! ha ha ha!

Here is another bee at Roxanne’s Garden in Elyria, Ohio. This one is a ‘Yellow Jacket’ or ‘YellowJack’ that is determined to get nectar from the beautiful red candlestick flower. I had to be more discreet with this one, as this species is alot more aggressive in human presence, and CAN be relentless. I know from experience! (chuckle) / But I managed to get close enough to get him in ‘flight’ to a portal of nectar! And here it is for your enjoyment, for which I am pleased to share! ;-)

Here is a classic Red Hibiscus in FULL glorious bloom, in FULL SUNLIGHT as well, for a great spotlight on its majestic display of fervor for you! I was pleased to capture it. Others will follow. This Hibiscus plant is huge and flourishes well every year! And I’ve got some GREAT shots of it! / Enjoy….. / Oh yes, it IS from Roxanne’s Garden…. he he he!
