This old rowboat was discovered in a fishing village called Chaple Cove in Newfoundland, Canada. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /
This is “one of a series” of watercolors I am always adding to called ” Life On The River”. This particular watercolor is called “RED ROWBOAT”. It is on the Loxahatchee River in Florida.
Old row boat now neglected by a rural pond. as is…
mixed media painting: ink, watercolour, acrylic, oil pastel, PVA glue and paper, quite a lot of fun really.

Little boat decided to go to the Iao Valley on the island of Maui for a quick holiday…
I know, I know, I can just hear all of you now, this is a bit ‘dark’ coming from me, but I’m just stretching out of my boundaries a little…it’s all you lot’s fault you know, you dare me to be different and creative…. ;-)
Meet Sammy, my neighbour’s little Yorkie..I took a load of shots of him today, so I thought I’d put him in the tiny boat so he could have a fun ride… ;-)
This was taken at a dam in Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills, Australia in winter at dawn. We don’t get any snow in Adelaide, as our summers are very hot. There is still some fog around on the water. This is pure bliss to me. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera, on a tripod. This was taken because of the mood created with the fog, the winter sunlight lighting up the boat and the 3 waterfowl swimming in the opposite direction to the boat.
Looks like little boat found a marvellous place to sit and quietly contemplate his/her life for a while. This ‘interdimensional lagoon’ will be a wonderful place for little boat to do some really deep, philosophical, and possibly life-changing thinking..
This was so much fun…I love to work with my old lightning shots… woohooo…
This one was completely a surprise…so glad I pursued it..
I was here today on the Logan River, in the canyon not far from home. I loved the ‘just now turning’ leaves and magnificent reflections in the clear water… Little Boat and the butterfly wanted to go with me so I shot some pics of them as well… heehee..
Just more fun with my infrared base images and some major Photoshopping.. / ;-)
The last (for now) in my digital infrared series. This one reminded me almost of a painting by Claude Monet or someone from that ‘ilk’ of art work…Photoshop is just too amazing… ;-)
Another in my infrared base image series. Two layers of the base image that is the infrared, multiplied in Photoshop’s layer palette blending modes. This one has an added boat, the moon, and some sun streaks shining through. I tried to swing the colour a bit more sepia on this one, just to make it interesting. ;-)
Yet another infrared image from my trip up the canyon the other day to Spring Hollow recreation area and Second Dam. This is similar to a couple of my other ones, but I included the fence and a bit more detail in this one and thought it would be fun to post here ;-) I began with the infrared base image, duplicated it then multiplied it in the Layer’s Palette of Photoshop. Then I sepia toned it by using Hue/Saturation command, then placed a sun flare and my little boat into the picture as separate elements, and ‘voila’ another digital art piece.. ;-)
