see also… Ki is the Japanese word for Life Force, Spirit or Energy. / The usage of this particular character illustrates the nature of Ki – it is something to be felt, rather than to be seen or heard. / It also represents the seemingly intangible quality of Ki – it is something to be experienced, rather than discussed or written about.

Rain drops on a window, forming a beaded-curtain effect with golden out-of-focus orbs from the patio outside. I had my camera with me while in a cafe with my daughter and my sister, and I spotted the raindrops … then those golden orbs appeared in the viewfinder too. A lucky bonus! / . / I’m delighted that this photo has been featured on RedBubble’s front page - / . / / .

This is the actual shape of the canvas The shape of the canvas becomes an integral part of this painting to enhance the illusion of a three dimensional object. / “Metaphor For A Metaphor” is about our predilection for categorizing everything that we experience, whether it fits into our scheme of things or not. “This leopard mother with her two juvenile sons were sleeping their siesta. Lazily lying on a rock, they naturally composed by themselves a pretty collage. Each individual bears a unique pattern in different hues. / / Their bodies aligned in a way that formed a triangle among them. The spots are unique in their shape and design, creating all together a puzzle of sheer beauty.” / / ============================================================= / All proceeds from the sale of this piece of artwork will be donated to the Snow Leopard Trust. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Carmen, creator of Art for Conservation
