Amazing what one can find on an early morning stroll through the garden. Taken with D200, Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro lens and SB800 flash. I just love how this turned out.

Every spring this gorgeous orange-apricot rose initiates a delighted “Wow! Just Joey’s got thirteen buds!” , and we know summer’s almost here! This delightful bush somehow manages to come through every year, in spite of the ever increasing shade from the tall fir trees surrounding our home.
This gorgeous rose is named for the famous Pacific Northwest glass artist, Dale Chihuly. What a delightful splash of colour in my garden and the raindrops just added to this vision. This rosebush outdoes itself in trying to make a splash in the front of our garden. Its lovely shades graduate from orange down the range to pink all in one flower.
