Every spring this gorgeous orange-apricot rose initiates a delighted “Wow! Just Joey’s got thirteen buds!” , and we know summer’s almost here! This delightful bush somehow manages to come through every year, in spite of the ever increasing shade from the tall fir trees surrounding our home.

This gorgeous rose is named for the famous Pacific Northwest glass artist, Dale Chihuly. What a delightful splash of colour in my garden and the raindrops just added to this vision. This was taken from Rosebud on the mornington peninsula victoria Autumn 2008. / I ran this through HDR Software Dynamic Pro. / The image was taken using the Nikon D80 with an 18-135mm lens hand held and on auto settings. Altered E.V steps x 3 times through Dynamic Pro using a single frame only. /
