I was typing an email to my boss letting him know I had to ‘duck out for a bit’. / I stared at the expression and realised how bizarre it was. Thats what gave me the idea….yes I know my creative brain works in mysterious ways….like alot of us ‘bubblers’!
This is piece started out just as a ‘muck around” job in photoshop and Freehand and was pleasantly suprised with the end result.
A very old Aussie saying. My dad always used to say it along with many others.
This is a collaborative effort with Jemimalovesbigted and Rookie. Portrait is of Rookie and Jemimalovesbigted designed the patterned background.
I took this photo when i was up in Cairns at a wildlife park. Whilst most of the guests were photographing the lorrikeets walking around on the tables, I happened to look up. It took me a few seconds to realise what it was. An amazing silhouette was cast by the birds that were sitting ontop of the canopy . It almost looks photoshoped with the angle of the birds, but I can give you my word that there was no manipulation of this photo. Just right time, right place!
Like other people, I am a big animal lover and can’t stand to see animals being subjected to cruelty. I was watching COPS last night and they showed a guy beating and kicking his dog. I was so angry! Wanted to reach through the TV and throttle him. So as I was laying in bed trying to sleep, this idea came to me. If only it was as easy as this….......! P.S A percentage of any profits made will go to help buy dog food to be dropped off at my local Animal Welfare League.
I’ve always loved the idea of scarecrows. Especially when they’re portrayed in a creepy/come-to-life-and grab-you kinda way.
This is a design I’ve done for Voices for Animals Group competition Competition
I took this photo at Strawberry Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. There were chipmunks zooming around everywhere except this guy. He caught my attention because he wasn’t moving. It was as though he was the old and wise leader of the group keeping a watch from his trusty rock. He let me get so close as you can see! You can also see he probably didn’t miss many meals! As soon I as took the pic, he scooted!
Just another little character that popped into my head whilst laying on my lounge floor drawing. (yes like a 5 year old. For some reason I find ideas flow easier and more frequent when im laying on the carpet.) Maybe coz I did it so much as a kid…..
This is the same design as my other one but for those who may want it on a darker tee.
This is another little dude that I’ve designed that is staying in theme with my Beaver design. Intend on adding more characters.
Colour variation of original design

This is a pic of a little Squirrel dude (or dudette) I took when I was in Washington DC near the White House. I know its not the best background to truely make him stand out but the expression is gold!
This Lorrikeet photo was taken in Cairns. I though it was really cool the way I happened to catch the light illuminating his/her eye. As always, Lorrikeets colours never cease to impress!
Cassuari photo taken this year up north. Probably one of my fav birds. Almost looking at the missing link between dinosaurs and birds.
Just another little quirky character from the animal kingdom that popped into my head whilst laying on my loungeroom floor drawing. (yes like a 5 year old. For some reason I find ideas flow easier and more frequent when im laying on the carpet.) Maybe coz I did it so much as a kid…..
I have no idea how this design came to me!
Dunno why but I was in a 70’s mode when I was playing around with this. Maybe it had something to do with the Doobie Brothers I was listening to.
This is Rooky our back yard friend wearing his colorful winter coat , spring, summer, fall he’s always glad to eat peanuts we display for him.
