  • I came across the sad sight of this derelict wooden roller-coaster at an old deserted seaside resort in Kent a few years ago. / The Pleasure Beach was no longer the place to be, the theatres and clubs were boarded-up, the crowds had moved elsewhere and the seaside town was destined to become a Ghost Town. edited to add – This rollercoaster dating from 1922 was demolished in April 2007 to make way for a supermarket Nikon D80. Nikkor 18-135mm

  • This is the second image from a series I took of a derelict old wooden rollercoaster in Folkestone, Kent. Sadly, a few months after taking this shot, this fairground attraction dating from 1922 was demolished to make way for a supermarket. I guess my images might be the last ever taken before its destruction. This time, I gave the image HDR treatment, having taken three bracketed images. Nikon D80. Nikkor 18-135mm
