Belle is my little Dumbo Rat escape artist, she can get out of anything! She was just a little baby here. In fact she was no bigger than a mouse in this photo.The first time this happened I was frantic. As soon as I spotted her I remained very calm so as not to scare her and have her hide in some spot that I could not reach her. I called her name very softly, and as soon as she saw me she came running fast as her little rattie feet would carry her. That is when I learned that she tries to escape not to get loose but to come to me. She is such a great little companion, I must admit I really do love this little rat girl.

I had him framed in the camera, thinking that he has to move eventually. And he did. He stretched out his tiny arms and yawned and then promptly fell back to sleep. / It was all over in a second and I had just enough time for one shot.
