  • Part of a Retro Pin-Up series at Hosier Lane, Melbourne. The hat is from when I worked at Johnny Rockett’s Diner!

  • Here’s my famous red vinyl chair and red phone! These have been used in quite a few photo shoots now – although, this is the first photo where the two items get in the limelight. This laneway is located near Hosier Lane in Melbourne, adorned with graffiti and stencil art. Getting the phone to the laneway from the carpark at Fed Square was easy. Getting the chair there wasn’t!

  • I love 58 Chevy’s…one of my favorite cars. An old shot that I was able to salvage because of my editing skills improving. Needless to say I am happy I was able to! Now generally as a rule of thumb, I would KO the powerlines, but this time I left them in intentionally. Why? Well I started to KO them then went back, after noticing that without them, the telephone pole is just kinda strange and they add a sense of perspective in this shot. Processed with Photoshop, LucisArts, Virtual Photographer, about 7 layers, and custom color retro actions using curves. —-—-—-—-—-- / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. • T-Shirt created upon the request of one Paul Vanzella The proud owner of his new T!

  • Like waiting for judgement say, there they stood, in all their glory….40s era Fords, Oldsmobile’s, Pontiac’s, Chevy’s….awaiting the rodders touch to be sculptured in lead, and reincarnated into a new life as a hotrod. Sadly, as much as I love this place, it is now forever gone. I did many shoots at Classical Gas in Eaton, Colorado….and now it is just a memory….it is forever closed as the owner has recently passed away. I was lucky enough to have been here as often as I could…preserving it forever with my camera. And while it is an older shot, it seems just like yesterday I was standing there taking this….time stands still…...much as it did for the classic 40s Detroit iron….... Thoughts welcomed, print to come. Processed with PS, DCE HDR, and LucisArt. —-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com

  • My second rendition of this shot…..I will miss this place as it has now closed down…sad….at least I was able to capture it while I could. HDR and LucisArt used in processing John
