  • An old photo of mine (taken in 2004), reprocessed. Seeing the potential for the shot developing in front of me, I ran to catch this silhouette just at the right moment – twiddling camera settings on the hoof, not much post-processing required. Taken on the approach to Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven. Contains a primate of the species homo sapiens.

  • Shoot – Nude on Location 17-2-08 / Art Director – Alateia / Model – Mia

  • Original stone carving/statue (part of the Fountain of Tears) is at Colebrook Reconciliation Park on Shepherds Hill Road, Eden Hills, Sth Australia. It is part of a tribute monument (31 May 1998), on the site of the original Colebrook Home for Aboriginal Children 1943-1972, commissioned by Colebrook Tji Tji Tjuta Dreaming Committee, with assistance from the Blackwood Reconciliation Group. [the green “spikes” are reeds growing from the rock pool at the base of the fountain ] I have applied texture and tonal effects to my original photograph, for emphasis and effect.

  • A sketch I just finished. This portrays the job that angels do for God. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. / They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone / Psalm 91: 11-12 Angels are ministers of God’s protection for us.

  • Innocence is as fleeting as it is blissful. Virgin on the Rocks has much symbolism, especially for adults who are past the stage of “virgin”. The model here is me at a still-innocent 19 years old, in an impromptu modeling session for a photographer who simply approached me on campus and asked. The look, though, might make one question the “innocence”. Thus…the series title, “Virgin on the Rocks”. People seem to love the blue version, best. But there is also a sea-green-brown piece, Virgin on the Rocks – III , with the predominant sand-in-the-shallows-color of the Atlantic Ocean, where I grew up. There is much symbolism in this work. Challenge yourself and find it all. Start with the title. Enjoy. • Graphite Pencil on A5 110gsm Cartridge paper So i bought a Graphite pencil the other day… thought i’d just play around for a few mins before i went to bed… several hours later in the wee small hours of the morning this emerged. Based on an Uh Huh Her album cover by my fave female singer… PJ Harvey!!! / The hair is imagined as the background in the photo is all shadowy, the interior of a car i believe! But she did have a similarly messy, flicky sort of hair cut at the time!

  • 2009 acrylic on 24” x 36” canvas. I had this idea a while ago, maybe even a couple of years and now I have finally finished it and I think it may be my best work yet.
