  • This small rock pool is found in Cabbage Tree Bay, along the pathway between Manly and Shelly Beach on Sydney’s northern beaches. The sculpture/statue is known as The Oceanids. This image was a 30 second exposure nearly an hour before sunrise with the pool wall and sculpture lit up by a nearby street light. This image has also won a photo of the week at photographer Steve Parish’s Photograph Australia website.

  • The light was changing every minute. I climbed over some huge rocks to get into a great position to take some surfing shots, when suddenly this huge cloud covered up the sun. Suddenly the beautiful light illuminating the waves the surfers were riding was gone. I looked to my left and noticed the light here. Quickly, I grabbed my stuff and setup this shot…..only got one frame, because soon after this the light here was also gone. • I know this totally doesn’t look real.. but beilieve me.. it was freezing!! This was a 10 sec exposure, ISO 100 at f20 with an ND filter and circular polarizer..

  • I took this shot in Bateau Bay, which is part of Central Coast New South Wales Australia. Roughly 2 hours above Sydney. I love the glow of sunsets in wet sand and this, broken by the rocks, formed a scene I just had to capture!

  • Taken at Norah Head, two hours north of Sydney on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Beautiful little place =) the lighthouse there is too cute.

  • I shot this just a few moments before dawn off the Bundeena Cliffs at Royal NP just south of Sydney and a 15 minute walk from where I live. / This section of coast in Royal is just magnificent and I keep getting drawn back to it night and day – can’t imagine how many hours I’ve spent up here just sitting and gazing out to sea or taking pics. There are actually some hermit dwellings built into the side of the cliffs during the 1930’s Depression which are now derelict. I can fully understand why people built them. Wouldn’t mind setting up residence myself (but I love my running hot and cold water too much lol). Tv: 1/6 sec / Av: f/ll / ISO: 100 / FL: 10mm / Canon 30D

  • Best viewed large. Side view of the three cascades at the top tier of National Falls, / Royal National Park just south of Sydney Australia. From here the water drops 25m to a couple of shallow pools before dropping over a 50m fall which is almost inaccessible. Working on finding a way to these large falls but they are in a ravine and haven’t succeeded yet. We’ve been in a long drought so these falls have been mostly non-existent for the last couple of years. It’s good to see them flowing so freely again. / Tv: 10secs / Av: f13 / ISO 100 / FL: 33mm

  • Ian Rilen was a legendary Sydney rock and roller and a member of bands such as Rose Tattoo, X and Sardine V. He died earlier this year and is much missed for his wild and wonderful ways. I found this candid back stage shot of him and his then wife Stephanie preparing to go onstage at the Trade Union Club in Sydney’s Surry Hills way way back in the early 80’s. They were in Sardine V at that time and when I look at this shot now the eighties rush back. Oh my misspent youth. :) So Vale Ian Rilen, I so hope things are rocking were ever you are. This shot is for you.

  • Taken on a beautiful evening at Wattamolla in Royal NP just south of Sydney Australia. This is the upper Wattamolla Creek falls on the way to Marley Beach. Canon 30D / Tv – 1sec-30sec / Av – f/8 / ISO – 400 / FL – 21mm / Circular Polarising Filter

  • This is one of my favourites . / I took this from my suites balcony at the Park Hyatt , Sydney harbour Australia. / It was actually taken just before sunrise , I would never be sick of waking up to this view every day . / I am happy to share it with you. / Enjoy….

  • Between Your Lines artwork from the new EP from Fuzu, released in 2008.

  • Shot: Nikon D40X / Format: Raw / Time: 1.29pm / Exposure: 10.000 seconds / F No: 9.0 / Focal Length: 26.0mm / Tripod Used / Uv Filter Used Leura Cascade Falls is in Sydney Australia The Blue Mountains. This is a great walk to go and do! It’s not to hard and you see beautiful things the whole way! How to get there… Commencing from the Leura Cascades Picnic Area make your way to the information board from which you will observe a concrete pathway descending to the left. Follow the pathway as it travels beside the bubbling Leura Cascades creek. You will approach a small footbridge, at this there will be an intersection, you will note a weathered signpost indicating the direction of Leura Cascades, from this point head downhill to the Cascades. As you descend the fern covered stairs (handrails for support) to the Cascades you will hear the sounds of rushing water as the creek picks up speed. At the bottom, the Cascades are best viewed from beneath a rock cave looking back up the Cascades. A brief sidetrack can be made from the Cascades by following the path for a short distance to a lookout directly above the Bridal Veil Falls. Return to the picnic area via the same pathway.

  • The Valley of the Waters is @ Wentworth Falls In the Blue Mountains. The Valley of the Waters may be reached by a direct walking track, which descends steeply through temperate rainforest. Cool, moist, shady conditions prevail, and the area is a rich wildlife habitat. / Apart from the regular bushwalkers, you are likely to meet wetsuit-clad abseilers who like to take a more direct, and wet, route down the numerous waterfalls. / From the valley, National Pass takes the walker to the Wentworth Falls, then back up the cliffs to the village. / The Nature Track, & other cliff-top routes, make a good alternative for walkers who prefer to avoid the strenuous climb in and out of the valley. I made a video of this day, its on youtube http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=IUyyD0GvvsQ Shot: Nikon D40X / Format: Raw / Date: 2.8.08 / Exposure: 14.000 second / F No: 22.0 / Focal Length: 18.0mm / Tripod Used

  • Another shot from the edge of the rocks at Narrabeen facing the incoming tide.. I love the way the water swirls around through the rocks and looks like fog with the longer exposures. EXIF / Date: 17/09/2008 / Time: 6:29am / Aperture: f/22 / Shutter: 1.8 seconds

  • The bottom of the Upper Wattamolla Falls, Royal National Park. Can’t decide between the colour and the b/w. If you look very carefully you can see an angel in the middle of the falls in the coloured version but it disappears in the b/w – my daughter spotted it and I couldn’t see it for ages and then it just popped out at me. But I really like the contrast between the water and the rocks in the b/w so your feedback is most welcome Canon 30D Tv: 6 secs / Av: f/16 / ISO: 200 / FL: 62mm

  • Australia, Sydney, Eastern suburbs, Clovelly bay

  • This shot was made at Maroubra, Sydney. / Dull lifeless rocks… some water… some clouds… / But then some magical light bubbles up and it becomes evident, that the whole world is a treasure! It depends on Light and wheather you want to see how perfect is it. / Even if you don’t see the Sun, it is there. More bright version available!! Feel free to ask!
