  • The base of Sterling Falls in Milford Sound. Featured in: All About Water

  • The base of Sterling Falls in Milford Sound, NZ. I just loved the ripple effects on the surface of the water that day. Featured in: New Zealand Made

  • The light was changing every minute. I climbed over some huge rocks to get into a great position to take some surfing shots, when suddenly this huge cloud covered up the sun. Suddenly the beautiful light illuminating the waves the surfers were riding was gone. I looked to my left and noticed the light here. Quickly, I grabbed my stuff and setup this shot…..only got one frame, because soon after this the light here was also gone. • A coastal cauldron overflowing with the ssun setting on the Mountains of West Maui in the distance

  • For me the most magical place on earth I think is Punakaiki or The Pancake Rocks along West Coast of New Zealand. Here all five of your senses are assaulted byt the elements that make up this wonderful spot. A visual treat is accompanied by feel and taste of salt spray on the air and booming of the waves hitting the limestone cliffs at high tide is like thunder.

  • This shot was taken outside of Fort Bragg, California.

  • This scene lay before me a late afternoon with the sun peeping through at a low angle. I was lucky to have both the light in the small sprays and a friendly gull posing further out. Aperture priority programme / 1/60 sec. / f/5.6 / ISO 100 / Spot metering RAW capture. Processed in Camera RAW and PS Elements. Beach

  • Yes… I did get too close and got wet!.. Ohh the perils of photography! / I Have to date sold 3 x mounted prints of this image.

  • With a heavy NE swell closing down most of the beaches along Australia’s East Coast over new year, not even the pools are safe. In a somewhat typical Aussie understatement, the sign at North Curl Curl pool on Sydney’s Northern Beaches says “Pool Closed, Dangerous Conditions” and that’s if you can get close enough to read it without being washed away. A new years day swim to shake out the NYE cobwebs from the previous night is pretty much out of the question. While I was there, there were some much bigger waves/sprays but this one was pretty solid and nicely balanced the image with the pool. There should probably also be a sign that says “Don’t stand so close to the pool taking photographs” or shoot telephoto from a distance rather than wideangle. But then what’s the fun in that? Although the two feet of water swirling around below me was a bit dicey at times.

  • Canon 350D lens 17-40 mm / River stream in the forest.

  • Most people don’t die until the last moment; others start twenty years in advance, sometimes more. Those are the unfortunates. Louis Ferdinand Céline (1894-1961)

  • Taken at Apollo Bay early in the morning. Time lapse at 0.4 secs, f4. Nikon D300 camera with 12-24mm wide-angle Nikkor lens. View more of my seascapes at: Landscapes and Seascapes

  • Taken at Black Head Point, Gerroa NSW.

  • Waves crash over a rock shelf near the coast of La Jolla, California as the sun sets.

  • Back from a quick business trip with a few flight delays. Sunrise as a wave erupts over the eroded limestone of Blowing Rocks State PReserve in Florida.

  • I appreciate you taking time to view my work, and I really enjoy reading your comments. / Thanks for visiting :-) I couldn’t help but think how long this rock has been on the beach, battling the tide, day in and day out. Sunset at Phillip Island, Victoria.

  • Waves crash against rocks on Playa Ventura. / Canon 40D
