WHat particularly drew me to this scene were the patterns of light and shadow on the rocks and leaves. Taken on an Autumn afternoon in Jacob’s Fork River, South Mountain State Park, NC. Figuring out a way to get from one slippery and mossy rock to another in order to take the photo was a real challenge too-especially carrying tripod and camera equipment. / Nikon D50, 42mm,F22 ,2 sec / /

Another one from my recent trip to Skye. It took me a while to process this one, but I’m glad I spent the time doing it. Taken on the beach at Elgol on the same day as the other similar one I posted. Different composition, same idea – I wanted to get a horizontal shot as I very rarely take them. I was drawn to this particular spot by the different coloured rocks, and the big rock in the bottom left corner which leads you round the edge of the water and back into the mountains again. Canon Eos 5D, 24mm TS-E at f22, ISO 100 for 8 seconds with a 1.2 ND and 0.6 ND grad

Every afternoon on my way home from work I would see that lamp post coupled with the Harbour Bridge and I’d think to myself “That would make for a great shot”. After many months of telling myself that I have to take that shot I finally got off my behind and did just that. I am really happy with what I got. Here are a few categories to take a look at: /

Have you ever been that down that you wouldn’t be surprised if your shadow left ?
A photograph/drawing with “home made P.S.” the only difference is that the objects were live, hand picked and hand applied. It was made with layers of nature, reflections and things around the house.Final step was under water.

A falling water droplet and some smooth river rock.
A very hot evening at Pt Lonsdale back beach with the low tide revealing the seaweed beds. Added texture and TTV layers. Best viewed large.
This was taken in Monument Valley. A virtually cloudless sky, except for the shadow this one casts. I saw this picture coming and had to hurry to get it. I like it as it is odd, but it does not send the serene message many of my photos send.
