The harbour at Carradale on the east coast of Kintyre is home to a dwindling fishing fleet. Their meagre quotas of fish already full, they’re now forced to scratch a living gleaning the seabed for what shellfish they can find. A summer sunset with Arran beyond. Miss (yes) Tiggywinkle, Herdwick ewe at White Rock Farm, Tayvallich, nr Lochgilphead, Argyll, Scotland. She was some kind of relative, I suspect, but not Mum, of my namesake lamb Sheila the Sheep (born April 2008). Miss T was very cooperative. Sheila was only hungry.
The Needle is the highest point on The Cobbler (AKA Ben Arthur) to get to the top you must go through a gap in the rock ie you have to go through the eye of the needle. This lad is about to clamber through the eye… He never made it to the top… His mum told him to get back! Taken with Samsung L730
