The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. A lone tree on the South coast of Maui near Lahaina seems to be in danger of being swept out to sea by the ebbing tides at sunset.

A veritable seaside cauldron of stone nearly boiling over with the rising tides at sunset near Kihei with the West Maui Mountains capped by clouds in the distance.

This image was re-worked using HDR processing. I also utillized a tip from Popular Photography to enhance the sky, using a combination of selective color, blending and blur features.
