The lower outlet of the Roaring Meg hydro power station gushing into the Kawarau River Gorge near Queenstown in Central Otago, New Zealand. /
This is the third piece I’ve polished off in my monsters chasing after kid series. I’ve decided to go ahead and compile them into a book and this one actually comes somewhere near the end. (I hate doing things in order) My favorite thing about this one? The globs of “stuff” flying out of the big green guys mouth. I have no idea what it is, but it looks fairly disgusting.
I saw another powerful Angel coming down out of Heaven wrapped in a cloud. There was a rainbow over his head, his face was sun-radiant, his legs pillars of fire. He had a small book open in his hand. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on land, then called out thunderously, a lion roar. When he called out, the Seven Thunders called back. When the Seven Thunders spoke, I started to write it all down, but a voice out of Heaven stopped me, saying, “Seal with silence the Seven Thunders; don’t write a word.”
This is on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Tail. It is located on the backside of Gatlinburg inside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It is a one way 5.5 mile auto tour. It is not a loop and but will still bring you out in Gatlinburg. Unlike Cades Cove it don’t get the amount of tourist. Where Cades Cove is in the cove of the mountains and open Roaring Fork ain’t. It is a winding narrow road thru the forest and along the Roaring Fork stream. It too has some historic structures and wildlife but not that of Cades Cove. Roaring Fork is noted for the stream and lush moss covered boulders. The original road was a wagon trail built in the 1850’s to serve the community of a couple dozen families. Roaring Fork got its named from the roar of the rushing waters. It is one of the steepest in the eastern US and can get loud during high water. Mostly during the tourist season it is low to average and is quite relaxing to lounge beside.
This is a common image in Roaring Fork. You could spend a whole day just photographing streams there. A favorite place of mine. Canon F-1,Fujichrome 50, 50mm lens
My Fancy Pansy Blythe – Marlo.
For my school folio I did an ice study, involving many things with ice, particularly in the dark with a torch. I froze a dinosaur :D
Awww..isn’t that cute, he’s smiling. He’s a happy kitty. He likes you. You should pet him.
Another shot of the same cat from Bobblehead. :) He’s just a camera whore! Mewing at me the whole time that I was taking his pictures.
A Malayan tiger
Ahah, I thought this was a cute idea, based off of a photo I have of my Kitten Arby rolling around and being cute, I wanted to do something with her, so here we have, a ferocious tiger!
I had to upload this as a bit of fun. / It’s not often that I get to see my cats tonsills in the middle of a yawn. / This is my younest boy ( 2 yo ) who I found dumped in a car park when he was 3 to 5 weeks old. / I hope you enjoy this image….. =================

My lilies have finally started to open up! The first two are perfect!! I will try not to add too many shots. For now I am trying to get closer than close to the inner workings…see the next post…I think they would look lovely together. Gorgeous after a sunshower !
Roaring River which flows into the South Fork of the Kings River near Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon National Park, CA.
A rusted boat winch sitting on the shore of Currie Harbour on the wild and rugged West Coast of King Island, Tasmania. The island sits at the Western entrance to Bass Strait and is the site of many shipwrecks. The 40th parallel of Latitude crosses the island and constantly whips the island with the “Roaring Forties”. A fascinating place steeped in Maritime history. Image taken with Canon G9 and processed in PSCS3. / / Fishing Boat, Currie Harbour, King Island / / Crayfish Pots, Currie Harbour, King Island /

Largely inspired by the track Blinded by The Light by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band ths is something along the lines of what I would have done had the cover art gig for The Roaring Silence been mine… I never liked this one at all although I do get the literal concept Hope you will agree.
