  • Hi With living and growing up in Ireland for the best part of 30 years i was always told that England was lush with greens all over the countryside. Now that i reside in Lancashire i have seen this to be true. I have spent the last 2 years travelling around the UK on a purpose to document my travels through pictures and on my travels, i decided to put together a portfolio called Roaming England. This portfolio is based only on the English Countryside and displayed in full colour, after all, the English Countryside is saturated with lush greens, yellows, reds and of course deep blue skies ( well on a good day anyway lol ) :) So my journey was to document my perspective of the English Countryside through my own eye’s and interputation! This is what the English Countryside offers me. The stories growing up have come true to life, right before my very eye’s, for me to capture, to keep for life and to share with others….. ........this is my view on the English Countryside. / ............................................................................................................................................ Camera settings > Exposure time >> 1/30sec Tripod mounted / Aperture >> F/9 / Focal length >> 29mm / ISO >> 200 / EV >> – 0.7 It was shot in RAW and later converted in Photoshop CS2. Adjustments made were Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation and finaly Reduce Noise. It was then saved as a Tiff file for storage and a JPEG for uploading here. Many thanks for taking the time to look and read about how this work was made. Stevie Location :: Crook ’ o ’ Lune, Lancashire.

  • Wild horses still roaming freely north of Currituck in Corova, NC. They are magnificant animals, so neat to be able to catch them in their natural habitat. It is believed that the Corolla Wild Horses have roamed the barrier islands of the Outer Banks for the past four centuries. Brought here by early explorers, these horses are descendants of Spanish Mustangs. I just loved the blonde mane on this beautiful horse.

  • Here is another shot of the herd, waiting for the right moment to tear off into the field! Caught these guys on a quick drive behind my house, didn’t even know they were there…they chased our car for about a mile or so. Captured with my Kodak Easyshare Z612

  • Back in 2000… my husband and I were invited by the Governor of South Dakota to join him in the Annual Buffalo Roundup. 100 people from all over the world are selected each year and personally invited to ride for 4 days in the hills and plains of the Black Hills of South Dakota and round up over 2000 head of American Bison. There are two herds and they had to be brought together then driven to the holding pens some 35 miles from our start point. / Once there… the herds were inoculated against “Bursalousis”...a virus that has a horrible death and can be passed to cattle. The herd is also culled for injured and calves to be sold to private buyers. I know many of my watchers have seen the other postings I have of this “once in a lifetime adventure” and here are a few more captures that I gathered together so you could continue to see just what a monumental journey this was. / This is my husband Russ (Big Swede) on the biggest horse they could find (a Belgian) at the main National Park ranch. Russ is 6’6” and a normal horse looks like a pony when he sets the saddle. The State of South Dakota used this image for several years in their tourism literature. / Stay tuned for more of the Buffalo Roundup…to be continued… Ridin’ Drag / It was quite the accomplishment to be on horseback and capture the massive animals that are our American Bison. / Thundering Icons / This was just one half of the herd…we would meet up the next day with the other half…a very dangerous time when the Bulls of two different herds share the prairie. / Stressing The Limit / There is a 25 foot grace you must keep between your horse and the outside line of the herd of buffalo…Bison hate horses more then they do humans. /

  • Ink drawing on a thin absorbent drawing paper….. This was an ink drawing design done for promotion of the Clemson University Tigers…...Clemson South Carolina ( football, basketball etc…. ) I “colorized” it in PS with fills and different “brushes” Just a little tribute to Clemson for some of the most exuberant fans of football I have ever seen. People who aren’t even football fans go to their games just for all the “hoopla” and excitement.
