  • Many thanks to Geoff Coleman for graciously lending me his lightening bolt to create this image. He hasn’t seen it yet so I hope he likes it! The highway image was taken on our trek across the Nullabor Plain when we moved from WA to Tasmania, on the part where there is not one single bend in the road for 100km’s… or is it 100miles? Oops… I forget, nevermind, I am sure someone will let me know =) It’s a bloody long stretch of straight road anyways ;) Stormchaser I no longer hide under the bed =)

  • God’s Covenant with Creation. Genesis 8:22 (New King James Version) 22 “While the earth remains, / Seedtime and harvest, / Cold and heat, / Winter and summer, / And day and night / Shall not cease.” A canola field in the Barrabool Hills at Ceres, near Geelong, Australia. Pentax istDS camera. Please feel free to browse through my website: Phil Thomson IPA Photography I hope you enjoy the experience.

  • Moonrise on Melrose © Vicki Ferrari This photograph was taken on the Melrose Road, Albert (central New South Wales, Australia), in the 1980’s. This is a scan of the 8X12 print in one of my earlier portfolios – there has only been basic editing done in photoshop, to remove the inevitable dust and scratches that are prominent with negative use (which become really apparent once you have scanned the image!). Apart from that, what you see is what it is! This is one of my favourites. It was even used in a country music CD a few years ago! I was a bit impressed by that – chuffed almost! (yes, I was chuffed, not almost!) You can take pity on the person that was in the car with me, driving home at night and having to stop! I have to take a photo! (and how often do we do that?!) I hope you like this and thank you for looking and reading! / Vicki Purchase Card / Purchase Framed Print / / Purchase Laminated Print / / UL20090109 / This image has been favourited by over 30 people!

  • Looking down on a woman on pedestrian crossing a road with the road markings that look like film sprockets.

  • The Russel Burn tumbles down from the mountains of Applecross, seen as you take the spectacular drive over the Bealach na Ba ( the Pass of the Cattle ) single track road. It is an old drover’s route, and rises to 2,053 feet, from where, on a clear day, you can see outstanding views of the Western Isles in all their glory. Mostly though, it will be so cold and windy that you will will not want to stay too long !! It is a very wild and remote area, so incredibly beautiful. Taken on a Canon EOS 40D, mounted on tripod, / canon 17-85mm IS lens at 17mm. Polariser fitted, ( to slow the shutter for more blur) / f23, three shot hdr (-2EV , +2EV and 0EV …..from a minus 1 stop underexposure reading 0f f23, 1/15 sec. on Aperture priority ) iso 100, Auto wb, RAW files converted in Photomatix and Adobe CS3. / Finished with a little Orton. • The Long & Winding Road The long and winding road / That leads to your door / Will never disappear / I’ve seen that road before / It always leads me here / Lead me to your door The wild and windy night / That the rain has washed away / Has left a pool of tears / Crying for the day / Why leave me standing here? / Let me know the way Many times I’ve been alone / And many times I’ve cried / Anyway you’ve always known / The many times I’ve tried / And still they lead me back / To the long, winding road / You left me waiting here / A long, long time ago / Don’t leave me standing here / Lead me to your door But still they lead me back / To the long, winding road / You left me waiting here / A long, long time ago / Don’t leave me standing here / Lead me to your door The Beatles

  • What a great morning. Out early before work taking some images of the wind farm at Portland. As I leant against the car a Koala emerged from the bush about twenty metres from me and started to slowly walk towards me along the roadside. I sat down quietly thinking it would be scared but it walked right up, sat near my feet and allowed me to take a range of images and then slowly ambled down to the side of the car where it sat looking at its own image being reflected. After trying to paw at itself there for about ten minutes it slowly walked off back into the scrub. What an experience!!!! For anyone from overseas I must tell you this just normally doesn’t happen with Koala’s, they are shy and usually steer away from humans unless in captivity. Shot with my brand new Canon 7D that I was using for only the second time, coupled with 17 -85 lens.

  • An Amish girl headed home…hasn’t stopped for two days, another 6-10 forecasted….Burrrrrrrrr !!
