This is another view of the road that leads to my house…..or…deeper in the woods if you go the opposite way… The dirt road is naturally a rich reddish brown color..and although it complemented the color of the supple pines…I felt that presenting this image in a desaturated or black and white image would draw your eye along the path of the road more easily… / / I feel so very honored that Simon Mears has found t song lyrics to attach to this image!!! A burnt out car wreck I found in a local forest… and I was supposed to be looking for nice things to photograph! Humanity is destroying the Earth and killing its soul with its greed and disrepect… but if history is any indication Mother Earth will fight back and eventually out live us all. Our buildings will crumble, our cars rust and our bodies turn to dust…and the scars we have left will heal.

This is one of the many small winding back roads close to my home here in Leitchfield Kentucky. I love traveling these roads that appear to be going no where only to have them lead me to some magical place that I never knew was there before today, and it has been close buy all the time.

The Dark Hedges. On a street close to Gracehill Golf Course, south of Ballycastle in Antrim, Northern Ireland. These are 300 year old beach trees and are getting to the end of their natural life span so they wont be around much longer.

When touring around Northern Ireland we were lucky enough to see a couple of photos of this place and eventually managed to find a toutrist info person that knew where they were. So with the sun low in a September sky we headed out and found possibly the most stunning bit of road I have ever been on in my life! Sony Alpha A200 18mm
