As I walk this Native American path of the “Good Red Road” / I awaken to say good morning to Grandfather Sun, in ode; Gratitudes spoken to the four directions and All Our Relations / Father Sky and Mother Earth, not leaving out any Creations; I raise the pipe high, letting smoke rise to the Spirit, so great / asking for peace and abundance in messages to generate; Towards the “Blue Road to Spirit”, my soul flies high to seek / For my sisters and brothers to thrive whether strong or weak; As Grandmother Moon rises, again I will drum, dance and sing / Until the ways of our ancestors’ prayers are brought upon wings; Proud to be related to the clawed, finned, crawling and standing / my voice will be heard in the stars of great truth and understanding. Taken on top of Blue Knob Mountain in Claysburg, PA with the Nikon D40x, using the 18-135mm lens on 9/20/08. Other than cloning off some dew drops, it’s pretty much as is from the camera.

Hi all, been away for quite a while now, hope you are all well. I clicked on RB yesterday for the first time in ages and was pleased to see the high standard has still been maintained, this inspired me to try and make time for photography again, i had thousands of photos i had taken but not done anything with, so this morning before i went to work i got up and did this, i thought it was quite topical for the weather we are having here in England at the moment. It is a village scene from our local village Wentworth. Hope you like it. / Dave.

Lake of Two Mountains, in the village of Oka Quebec, CANADA,taken on Saturday March 21st 2009 with Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens. / The tracks you see carved into the ice in the foreground are made by the cars that pass daily on the “ice bridge” from one side of the shore to the other. This ice roadway is maintained by a private company, has been 100 years in existence and no accidents have ever happened. However, the day that we were there, we noted during the afternoon that several pools of water had emerged over top the ice in some places and we presume that was the last weekend of using the passage over the lake to get to the other side.
