  • Featuring my daughter Siena, Bored Intersection is one of those moments you get when travelling overseas with small children. Resting on a balustrade with head in arm, she gathers some momentum before propelling her small frame onward. What you find fascinating doesn’t actually connect with a six year old – “What you mean all those beautiful perfectly placed graphic signs aren’t doing it for you…. I ask politely?”

  • Italy has this amazing sense of graphic content, strong colour and concrete abide – a vast mixture of classic and contemporary motifs intertwined. Just splendid to be amongst it.

  • Again, continually obsessed with the Italian signage and autostrades – and then all of a sudden this landscape just cried out to me. It was so perfect, just the way I like it – sparse, remote, golden and with a hint of industry driving past. I waited, risking a small amount of life and death, waiting for the right vehicle to drive past – could not have asked for anything better as this truck with perfect streamlined graphics appeared matching perfectly with the blue sign and all. I’m done!

  • A silly little idea i had while driving home the other night.

  • Be part of a Generosity Revolution! / This is a call to action, to care and take an interest.

  • This sign has fascinated me for many years. For as long as I can remember, it has always been edited by members of the public to read ‘Footscrayzy’. Every now and then the council come along and clean it off or replace the sign – then within a few weeks it appears again. Usually it’s handwritten, but now it seems that stencilling is quicker and easier than hand scribing. Cnr Orford Road and Waverley Street, Essendon, VIC

  • An old road sign riddled with bullet holes, apparently used for target practice, leans slightly off the highway near Balancing Rock in southern Idaho. This tourist stop has been heavily vandalized because of its secluded location and lack of state funding. Southern Idaho October 2007

  • This is an actual place 1 hour out of Brussels called The Atomium, (great name!) which is a replica of an atom magnified 165 billion times it stands 334.6 ft. high and was built for the 1958 World Expo… it consists of 9 spheres linked with these massive elevator shafts you can physically climb into… I was totally fascinated by the massive scale and although built in 1958, has this tremendous futuristic appeal… wonder if we will all be living in spherical metallic pods in the future… I know I want to!
