a colaboration with Randy Monteith / / / a fantastic artist here on redbubble
In collaboration with Heather Rivet This collaboration is a pretty unusual one… / I didn’t choose Heather’s best works to work with, which I usually do with my previous collabs, / here I wanted to challenge myself, so I told Heather to send me a couple of her works of which she isn’t really proud of… this is one of those (which on the contrary I believe is awesome and unique!!): ecosystem Model: my wife / PS work mainly / water effects are digitally painted using Corel Photopaint X4 Heather, I hope I did justice to your work!!

follow me as I take the road less travelled…........ Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, / And sorry I could not travel both / And be one traveler, long I stood / And looked down one as far as I could / To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, / And having perhaps the better claim / Because it was grassy and wanted wear; / Though as for that, the passing there / Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay / In leaves no step had trodden black. / Oh, I marked the first for another day! / Yet knowing how way leads on to way / I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh / Somewhere ages and ages hence: / Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, / I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference. / (c) Robert Frost Nikon D70 5 cards sold

Just after finishing taking pictures of the Kina, I was stumbling back over the rocks and came across a bright Rusty piece of ….... well something! Sun was setting, bright amazing colours were being shone back at me and thought – yeah! personally I like this image for it’s pin sharp detail and the juxtaposition between the round bolt and the straight edge especially with the blues on top. it was probably a well rusted iron girder but bent and rusted beyond recognition by the sea and rocks…
Third and final in the the series..abstract, metal, angles, colours…and erm…rivets ! Hope you like them ! Taken June 2009.
Sydney Harbour Bridge – a popular and much loved Sydney icon. So totally photogenic that people travel from far and wide to photograph it, to say they’ve seen it, walked on it, climbed it and driven over it. There is a working side to the bridge, too. It took 1400 men to build, 53,000 tonnes of steel, over 6 million hand driven rivets, 272,000 litres of paint just for the first 3 coats alone, it requires constant daily maintenance, it carries hundreds of trains each day, over 150,000 cars daily traverse it’s span and countless commuters, cyclists and tourists walk and cycle along the pedestrian and cycle ways. Celebrating what is still today an engineering feat, this is my tribute to our bridge.
